I love curly hair, especially for the holidays! To get curls that bounce and last for days can be tricky but with my help you’ll get it right in no time. The look I will be explaining is a fatter curl with lots of volume! I saw my friend Brittany’s hair so curly and cute in her recent pics, that I had to ask her what curling iron she was using. Here is Brit and her fabulous curls.
Here are some basic steps to achieve this look. The links are products I suggest, click for more info.
1. Wash hair with a volumizing shampoo if you can
2. Add Big Sexy Hair Root Boost to your hair
3. Blow Dry upside down and with a fat 3 inch round brush
4. Add a serum to smooth out frizzy hair
5. To get an overall curled look, you have to section off your hair. Plan on having about 6 sections that run horizontally across your head.
6. Start at the very bottom. Grab a 1.5 inch section of hair and begin to curl with a 1.5 inch Hot Tools Curling Iron. REMEMBER to curl AWAY from your face depending on which side you’re working on. Curls should always go away from your face, never towards. If you are curling the right side of your head, curl clockwise, left side, curl counter clockwise.
*TIP you should hold the iron on the hair for at LEAST 30 seconds. That is where many go wrong.
7. Lightly spritz with hairspray as you go, but like I said, LIGHTLY!
8. Once you are all done sectioning off and curling, take more serum and run your fingers through the curls gently to break up super curled curls.
9. Once you’re done curling, give it a good tease and a final spray!
This three row’d comb really rats the hair without creating teenie tiny knots like small combs do. Creates HUGE hair! Simply start with the top of your head and work your way down to around your ear level!
