Celebrity Inspired Make Up Tutorials

So Erin sent me this chick’s YouTube to check out her celebrity make up tutorials and I had to show you all! You will dieeeee at how crazy her celebrity inspired make up tutorials are, one face, tonnnsss of different looks! From make up tutorials on how to look like Nicki Minaj, Adriana Lima and Kim Kardashian to tutorials on how to look like Justin Bieber and the black guy from that “Hide ya kids hide ya wife” YouTube… she does it all. The perfect YouTube channel for costume make up tutorials and tips.

You’ve got to watch a few of her videos, it blew me away how much she made herself look like Adriana Lima, soooo different than when she started. She literally gave herself an entire new face by using make up and contouring!

Black, White & Nude Accessories

Lookin’ for a super cute new trend to sport out this weekend? I’m loving Kim’s solid black and white look, accessorized with nude colors! I just got my nails painted nude yesterday and then stumbled upon Kim sportin’ nude nails today. I always love when my picks are on point.

Super easy look to re-create with pre-existing pieces… Toss on a white top, black skirt and your favorite nude accessories.

I also loveee the double braided bang pulled back and natural make up look.

Almost identical hair/make up look I wore in Vegas last year…

Anastasia Brow Powder Duo

Eyebrows are such a tricky part of the getting ready process. There is definitely a fine line between simply defining the brows and over defining them. I’ve gone through sooo many different methods… both pencils and shadows, but I finally found a combo I like the best. My brows are far from perfect, but I found that using both a shadow and pencil works the best for me.

The two products I currently use for my brows are:

1. MAC’s Eyebrow Pencil in Lingering.

2. Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Brunette. Apply using a Brow Filler Brush

I do eyebrows very last… I use the Anastasia filler shadow to define and darken the entire brow, and then the MAC pencil for hard to reach areas like the start of the brow. The trick is staying within your natural shape, and not drawing on one of your own. I also brush it out a bit with an eyebrow brush at the end, to prevent it from looking too crayon like. You can of course adjust the amount you apply, less for a more natural look and more for a more done up look.

Anyone else have any favorite eyebrow methods I should try out?

Kim Kardashian’s People’s Choice Awards Make Up Tutorial

I loved Kim’s hair and make up at the People’s Choice Awards last week, and now the make up artist who created the look is sharing with us how she completed this look! Here is a play by play tutorial on how to achieve it!

“DON’T FORGET GIRLS!! It’s very important to keep up on your skincare regimen to keep its glamour & to help you have a clean smooth look. On Kim I apply PerfectSkin, LaMer lifting serum, & PerfectSkin eye cream. To condition lips I used Clarks Botanicals.

I used Foundation Primer by Laura Mercier. *On warm summer days try cooling your Foundation Primer in the refrigerator for refreshing the skin and reduce puffiness.

I like to keep Kim’s overall skin matte so I use Sheer Matte by NARS. Blend into the skin with a foundation brush for a flawless touch. Read More | Comments

Kim Kardashian Beauty Tips and Secrets

I was reading an online magazine and came across a few of Kim Kardashian’s favorite beauty secrets and thought I’d share. Had some good tips in it. Enjoy!

1. You’re known for having lashes so long and thick, they practically create a breeze when you blink! Are they real?
Yes my lashes are real! It runs in my family, my brother has the longest lashes. But I’m also a big fan of wearing fake lashes for shoots and big events. The key to making your own lashes look super long is to apply different mascaras and take your time. My favorites are Lancome Hypnose andMAC Zoom Lash.

2. Do you have any fun getting ready beauty rituals?
I love getting ready, it’s so much fun! I always style my hair first then pin it back while I do my makeup. Before I apply my foundation I sprinkle Bare Escentuals shimmer powder on my face to get a pretty glow.

3. What beauty tip changed your life?
Using make up wipes to take off my makeup. Best invention ever!

4. What’s your all time favorite hair and makeup look?
I love when my hair is slicked back in a bun and my make up shows off the lashes. Pure glamour!

5. What products are in your shower right now?
I use Finesse shampoo and Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash, which has burnt brown sugar and karite butter—it smells so good you’ll want to eat it. ”

Kim Kardashian Smokey Eye Tutorial

Troy Jensen, Kim Kardashian’s make up artist, just posted a fabulous makeup tutorial on his blog telling us girls exactly how he created the smokey eye and beige lip look below. I loveee the smokey eye look, paired with a nude lip, it really is something every girl should be able to do! The smokey eye with a simple lip, keeps the look fresh and clean and it’s not too overpowering with the smokey eye.

My luscious lips, pictured below, feature “Frost” color by MAC, topped off with a creamy gloss… “Turkish Delight” by NARS. It’s my go to color when I want to brighten up my boring face.
