Oh My Ombre, this trend has really gotten big… ombre this, ombre that! I like it, I think it’s cute, but, I’m not hoppin’ on board. No real reason other than I don’t wanna bleach my hair. I know a lot of girls are interested in this trend though, so I wanted to refer you to my GF Cindy here in San Diego!

She by far has done some of the cutest Ombre hair I’ve seen, and personalizes each person’s color so no two look identical. She does all my girlfriends hair and really takes her time to make sure you’re happy. Erin & I are two of the pickiest people on Earth and if she keeps us happy, well, then you know she’s legit. So…

Looking for a good Ombre colorist? Give her a call, her salon is here in Downtown San Diego, Cindy (619) 813-6996.   She also has a new client special for just $55.00 if you book through StyleSeat.com!

And now for a few pics of her work…

Apparently I’ve been living under a giant rock because I am just now learning about the hair donut and sock bun? I always wondered how celebrities got these giant, full, perfect looking buns and now it all makes sense, the hair donut! If you don’t want to buy the actual hair donut product, you can make your own with a sock. You simply cut the toe off, roll the sock up and bam, you’ve just made your very own sock donut.

Both methods are super easy to use, you basically take this foam donut thing and put your entire pony tail through it. You then bobby pin sections of hair around the donut to form a smooth, flawless bun. The video below will explain everything you need to know about the hair donut. What’s cool about this style is that you can play around with it, mess it up, smooth it down etc…

Has anyone used this yet? I can’t wait to try this out!

Rob Kardashian has had a new girlfriend for a while now, but I feel like no one really talks about it, probably because it’s not really that important. I figured I would post her pics anyway, you know, just for fun.

Meet English Singer Rita Ora. Apparently we will be meeting her on the upcoming Kardashian series, plus he just Tweeted about her the other day so apparently these two are still goin strong. She kinda reminds me of a mix between Rihanna and Kelly Clarkson? Weird mix but ya… she’s pretty cute, she’s got that Riri swag going for her.

Wonder how long til he messes up this one… waitinggggg...

What a busy month for Naughty Monkey! I pretty much spent all of March in Mexico preparing for our big Mexico City launch. The launch party was held in Mexico City last Thursday, but before that we were a part of the It Girls Fashion Blogger event held by a fellow blogger friend of mine Roxana. The event was held at Los Jardines down in Mexico, which means the garden in Spanish. The venue was just as it sounds, like a magical outdoor garden. There were a handful of sponsors and Naughty Monkey was one of them. The “It” girls event was hosted by a bunch of “go getter” females, all who were passionate about one thing or another, clothing/purse designers, photographers, chefs, bloggers and artists…

We provided Heya Hot Stuff gold glitter shoes for all the “It” girls which was a cute touch to the event, it was fun to see a bunch of glittery shoes running around. We also had our own area to display all the latest Spring shoes, the girls really loved the shoes, overall the event was a total success! It is awesome to see young girls following their dreams, because at the end of the day that is exactly the type of girl Naughty Monkey wants to attract: strong, outgoing, fashionable girls who were born to stand out. Enjoy the video and pics!

Love it or hate it, the pastel denim trend is here & it’s just in time for Easter. I personally think it’s sooo cute and can’t wait to get my tush into some light teal skinny jeans. Now I know this look is not loved by everyone so feel free to ignore this post, however if you are someone wanting to try out this fun, seasonal trend, here are some tips!

    1. FIT: The fit of the pants is by far the most important part of this trend. I can not tell you how many pairs of pink pants I’ve tried on and instantly flung off just because of the poor fit. Too tight, too low, too thin, too thick… the key is finding a pair of colored pants that fit your body well, and that don’t show off any unflattering bumps. Because these are lighter colored jeans, they are a bit trickier to pull off. Avoid super thin materials as they are less forgiving.

    Just remember: Fit > color.

    2. PAIRING: If this is your first time trying out colored denim you might want to stick to quieter pastels: grays, light pinks or tan shades, as these colors are easier to pair with black, navy, white and other neutrals. But, if you are feeling bold and brave, brighter colors obviously pair just as well.

    3. SHOES: As for shoes, a tan or black shoe is the safest choice, however this trend kind of allows you to get as creative as you want. Feel free to also wear a metallic flat as they also blend nicely with pastel colors. Try silver, rose gold or bronze. You can also tie in the same color with your accessories to give it a finished, polished off look.

    4. SHIRT: Top wise, you can pair these with pretty much anything you’re in the mood for. Pair pastel denim with button ups, blazers, casual T’s, & loose sweaters.

    5. COLOR BLOCKING: A lot of girls are combining the pastel denim trend with the color blocking trend. Feel free to really take a fashion leap by combining two of your favorite Spring tones together.

    6. BOLD: For brighter denim, I loveee it paired with cream, looks so sharp and fresh. Kim wears her teal jeans perfectly here, she has the pop of color that is great for Spring, but the neutrals that balance everything else out. Pastel Perfection!

Want to shop the pastel denim look? Here are a few suggestions:

Paige Denim Jeans – Verdugo Jeans in Flash $198.00

Blank NYC Spray On Salmon Jeans $88.00
Obey Lean & Mean Olive Jeans $105.00
7 For All Mankind Crop Skinny Jeans in Turquoise $198.00
7 For All Mankind Skinny Twill Jeans in Light Purple $169.00

Hope these tips help and good luck perfecting your pastels!

Loveeeeeeeee this song. Now playing… Young Jeezy & Neyo- Leave You Alone

“Had them other bitches mad when they seen us, had to match our Rolex’s baby team us. Yeah the earth is our turf we can share the world maybe even go half on a baby girl.”

    [Hook: Ne-Yo]
    Yeah
She said you ain’t no good but you feel so good
She said what if I could but I gotta leave you alone
    I gotta leave you alone
She said I know you bad, but I want you back
She said makes me so sad that I gotta leave you alone

    [Verse 1:]
I got my mind on my money
    All I need’s a bad bitch
That I can run through the city spend this cash with
That I can run through this city spend this cash on
Wake up in the morning get my smash on
I want more much baby egg whites
Keep your stomach in your thighs and your legs right
While I’m out here focus getting this bread right
But if the head right, Jeezy there every night
Wake up in the morning and I’m still here
Wake up in the morning and I ain’t gone
All I ask, let me just do me
And maybe just me and you can get along
Had them other bitches mad when they seen us
Had to match our Rolex’s baby team us
Yeah the earth is our turf we can share the world
Maybe even go half on a baby girl
