Ahh another weekend in Vegas has come and gone. This trip had no purpose really, we had been wanting to all go so we finally picked a weekend and just went. We usually fly Southwest but since I waited until the last minute to book it, Southwest flights were like $400 bucks. Vegas is cool and all to me, but not worth a $400 flight for a random weekend. My gf mentioned this Spirit airline and told me to check it out because it was cheaper so I did. Yes flights are cheaper, but you definitely get what you pay for with this nasty little airline.

Long story short, they are the worst airline EVER, ever, everrrrrr and I will never fly with them again. Not worth the saved two cents. Bad/clueless/missing staff, 2 hour delayed flight, strict baggage rules and charges if you go 1 lb over, the seats……. actually……… the entire plane, looked like it was from an airplane junkyard, worn down pleather, andddd they changed the gate on us 4 times! I also told one lady she must have no brain when she told me she didn’t know where our plane was and she replied, “Neither do you.” Oh perfect… apparently their cheap prices leave no extra money to properly train their staff on how to handle aggressive travelers like me. They will not be around much longer, the entire plane was furious, literally everyone yelling. Anyway, moving on…

And now for what you really want to know about… my outfit. Who would have guessed this little gold dress would cause such a stir, especially considering it was from Foreign Exchange at Fashion Valley. The dress is cool and all but to be honest, the necklace is what made it cute to me. Without the bling necklace this dress was super blah.

    LEATHER METALLIC CUTOUT DRESS $69.00

The necklace I wore is the “Amanda” necklace by Shop Belina. My favoriteee necklace, it makes everything cuter.

    Amanda Necklace- $32.00

The shoes were Bebe and they matched the gold perfectly.

    Mila Cutout Leather Sandal $160.00

    Now on sale for $118.00!

And when all 3 are combined… the finish product :)

Overall it was a really fun weekend. We stayed at my favoriteee hotel ever, The Cosmopolitan. On Friday night we went to Marquee and then Saturday night visited my good friend Moose who runs the entertainment at Haze to see Neyo perform. We sipped champagne right next to his table all night and then watched him perform, he’s sooo good live. I am going back next month for sure to see Nelly at the same place, can’t wait! If you stay at Cosmo I do have to insist you order their pizza from room service. They have a pizzeria inside the hotel and it was for sure the best pizza I’ve ever had. We ate it both nights for dinner and breakfast total pigs.

    Until the next adventure… xoxo

Whoa, Kim got $600,000 just to show up to TAO Nightclub in Las Vegas for NYE? Wild. Sorry to even write about her, but hello we all know the train wreck scenario, I can’t stop watching! Perhaps some of you think of me that way? Hahaha however you won’t find me marrying some dumb dumb basketball player I just met so whatever.

I think she looked awful on NYE, full on Kris Jenner mixed with Snooki. I feel like she got another nose job too, her face just looks so weird. She has lopsided fake lips, her boobs are hugeeeer (not in a cute way) than ever, her clip in bangs make me never, ever want bangs again, her fake hair is straight out tha bag, and that butt??? Ugh. No words :(

My favorite part of this all is that her mom tells everyone “No one has had any facial work done.” Riiiiight………. Proof girls need to leave their faces alone. She was way prettier 637 surgeries ago. Am I crazy or do you agree?

The new year is here and I couldn’t be more excited! Although the new year really isn’t any different than any other day on the calendar, it is a nice reminder that fresh starts are possible and today does motivate a lot of people to hit the reset button with the start of the new year. I hope that everyone had an amazing New Year’s Eve with all their favorite people! I sure did :)

I spent the night at The W Hotel here in San Diego of course with a handful of favorites. Wanting to not be a part of the glittery dress crew, I opted for the glamorous tuxedo look instead. It was super easy to put together, I even got crafty and made my own bow tie out of a fancy leather bow head band. Speaking of glamorous, how amazing is Ashley’s dress? Little brat in her pageant gown for NYE haha I loved it, we looked like bride and groom :)

For outfit info scroll to the bottom…

Our plans were to have dinner at Nobu inside of the Hard Rock Hotel… but yeah that didn’t work out so well. We fully got there, all 8 of us, ordered drinks, appetizers etc, laughing, taking pictures… I look down and I see the menu says $125.00 fixed menu. Obviously I am not about to eat $125.00 worth of food in my tiny skirt, so I ask the waitress for another menu. She tells us that we can not eat where we are sitting if we did not want to order off the fixed menu and that we would be moved to a hidden back room if we wanted to do that. I of course tell her she is insane, especially because half the table was ordering the fixed menu. Really Nobu? All 8 people have to order off the fixed menu to dine with you? We all decided that instead of dealing with their rudeness we would just go next door to Mary Jane’s and eat quesadilla’s for $6 dollars instead.

So we finish up our casual dinner at MJ’s and then head over to the W where we had a table. You know me, I do not like the scene and avoid it at all costs, so we decided The W would be perfect. I actually have gone here a few times for NYE and always have a blast. We drank champagne, squirted silly string and danced the night away. Pretty simple but perfect NYE!

Wondering what I’m wearing? I pretty much pieced together the entire outfit with some old items and a few new ones.

    * Blazer- Arden B., old.

    * Skirt- Forever 21, purchase here.

    * Button up blouse- Express. Can purchase anywhere tho, Nordstrom, Bebe, Forever 21…

    * Bow Tie- I made it :) It was a headband from Forever 21 but I ripped the bow off and looped it on some ribbon :)

    * Booties- Bebe, old.

    * Belt- Bebe, new. (Not online)

    * Earrings & Bangles- old, Bebe.

And that’s it! Overall a fabulous night. Fun with my gfs and the fact that Nelly re-tweeted me on Twitter just proves 2012 is going to be the best one yet hahah. Happy 2012 everyone! xoxo

My friend Andy is a complete idiot. On his days off he wastes his time with the dumbest things, the latest? Downloading the “Brace Face” app for the iPhone. We had this inside joke because some fool I used to date was secretly seeing an adult woman that had braces at the same time as me. I was confused, why date someone with braces when you’re already dating some without!? Hhahaha, anyway now it’s this big joke between us so he couldn’t wait to send me this picture… Me and his boyfriend Nick, both with braces. I died, pretty funny to give all your friends braces :)

Fortunately for me, my parents got me braces when I was in 4th grade. Thanks Mom & Dad.

Hahahah to Download the app, click here. Enjoy the pics!

Resolutions are fun for about a month or so and then they always seem to fall apart. BUT, maybe I can keep mine at leasttttt 2 months or so, just in case I will compose a list, never hurts to have goals clearly outlined in a public blog for everyone to remind you of, right? Right. So with that being said, here are my top 7 2012 NYE resolutions.

    8. To trust in the bigger picture. Many of us lose things that are/were important to us (Jobs, boyfriends, friends, family etc…) and ultimately we spend way too much time wishing things could have just turned out differently. I want to try to live more by faith in 2012 and trust that bad things only happen to make room for better things, or to make us stronger as individuals. You might not see the lesson now, but so many times later down the road we see why things happened the way they did. Faith. I want to try to never live in the past and accept that once the past is gone it’s gone, so many of us waste time fighting that reality. Acceptance and faith in 2012.

    7. To take better care of my health. This means taking daily vitamins, making routine dentist/dr appointments, washing my hands more, just not neglecting the things that keep me healthy. The older we get the better we need to treat ourselves because if we don’t do certain things now, we will pay for them later. I don’t want weak bones or wrinkles when I am older so I better take action now. I already am really good about protecting my skin tho, so if you’re not, now is the time to start wearing a daily SPF and a wrinkle correcting night cream ;)

    6. Continue to keep psycho people away. This one I struggled with in 2011 because I always want to forgive those I care about even when they devastate me time and time again, but sometimes certain people simply don’t deserve to be let back into our lives… ever. I usually convince myself that forgiveness is healthier, but what is healthiest is learning how to forgive while leaving the bad people behind. If you know someone is bad for you just leave them in the past where they belong. They say if someone mistreats you and then asks to at least be friends? Hell no we can’t be friends, friends don’t miss treat one another. People can only hurt you if you let them.

    5. To continue to better myself. I had a pretty productive 2011, landing a new job in an industry I love, but I want/need continuous growth to feel successful, so I need to set larger goals. I am clearly not having a baby or settling down any time soon, so I want to take advantage of this time. I feel lucky to still have no commitments to anyone other than myself, and while most people are focusing on finding a boyfriend/husband/baby, I’m going to focus on being the best I can be, now is the time to make my dreams a reality.

    4. To smile more. Now don’t go emailing me saying “I toldddddd you so” or “It’s about timeeee” I’ll smile when I’m ready, but it is something I could improve on. Just so everyone knows, I don’t purposely not smile, I just have a fat face and sometimes smiling hurts, it feels like my whole face is scrunching up and I don’t like it. Seriously tho, I’ve just never been a super smiley, perky person, but I am genuinely fine and happy when people accuse me of being upset! (Ok, ok, sometimes I might be a bit grumpy but 84% of the time I am happy :) )

It seems to be a problem for everyone else other than me. I am not working on this for anyone other than myself, because smiling should be my choice, however life is too short not to be positive and happy so we will give it a whirl, no promises, just a whirl.

Just wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! As usual I asked Priscilla to pose for me in a Santa hat, she agreed but clearly wasn’t too happy about the shoot. I hope everyone is having a great break from work and spending lots of time with the people they love the most! Where did the year go? Flew by like it always does. 2012 is just around the corner, hooray for fresh starts. Stay tuned for my year in review post! xoxo

Ahhhh love, love my early Christmas gift, Santa got me a fresh new pair of Dita Sunglasses, do you likeeee? They are kinda big, but I like big sunglasses :) For those of you who have not heard of Dita Sunglasses yet, they have amazing sunglasses for both men and women. I actually really like some of their men’s glasses so fellas looking for some new shades? Check em out.

Anyway, when I was in NYC I found like 3 different pairs I loved, I like them because they are 1. bigger and fit my wide face and 2. They’re unique. They have a lot of fun details that make them different from the rest.

Lots of celebs are spotted in Dita Eyewear as well, a few of my favorites? Ricky Rose, Kim K., Victoria Beckham, Gwen Stefani, Drake, Usher, Pdiddy, Jamie Foxx, Nicole from the Pussy Cat Dolls, etc.. etc… for a full list of celebs spotted in Dita click here.

How cuteeee is this leopard and zebra print wrapping paper? I saw this at Papyrus last night at the Fashion Valley mall and of course had to swoop it. I couldn’t find it online, and it was an actual Papyrus brand so I guess your best bet at finding this paper would be to head to the store. It was only $6.50 plus they had a buy 2 get one free deal going on so I bought this one and a pink and gold crown one and got free ribbon. The leopard and zebra came in one roll though, both are soooo cute! Happy wrapping :)
