I know it’s not technically Summer yet, but it is rapidly approaching so I wanted to share a few of my favorite Spring & Summer trends with you! In no particular order, these are my top 10 favorite Summer MUST HAVE’s. Sure a lot are missing but we’ll just start here.

    Summer trends 2013

    1. Beach Bunny Bikini- you won’t be sitting home this Summer, you’ll be out at pool parties and BBQ’s so a cute bikini is a must! Can I also have her body while we’re at it?

    beach bunny pop that bikini

     Pop That Bikini- $248.00

    2. A Tan- You can’t leave home without a tan this Summer! We all know fake tanning is terrible and so are some sunless tanners so try out this 100% natural, organic self tanner to get your bronze on.

    3. Striped Wedges- Stripes are super cute for Summer and what better way to take part in this trend than with a fun wedge! This Naughty Monkey wedge is 5 inches but it’s actually really comfortable, stomp comfortably the entire day.

Naughty Monkey Seven Layer Wedge- $80.00

    4. Bold Lips- Bold lips are a must have for every season but with Summer we can really go big with all the bright fun colors we love!

    5. A Fun Hat- I love hats, they’re great for those days where you really don’t want to do your hair or just to toss on before getting some sun.

    6. Bold Flats- A vibrant, flirty, fun sandal is another must for the Summer. These “Legendary” sandals by Naughty Monkey come in hot pink and hot yellow!

    7. White Nails- White is really in style right now so why not take the trend to your nails? The tip with white nails is they must be bright white and look clean. No dingy nails please!

    chanel white nails eastern light

    Chanel “Eastern Light“- $30.00

    8. White Denim- More white! White denim is white hot right now! Pair your white jeans with just about anything!

    9. Bold Bag- See the trend here? Yes, more bold! I love this bright melon and tan bag from Haute & Rebellious!

    10. Polka Dots- One of my favorite bloggers Oksana from Wear See Snap shows us how cute polka dots can be, even on jeans! More polka dot denim here.

Still loving chunky gold jewelry, isn’t it funny how our style changes over time? You couldn’t pay me to wear gold in high school and right now you couldn’t pay me to wear silver. I wonder how much longer I’ll love it? I do like silver, just not really in the mood for it at all right now. Anyway, I got these earrings in Dallas at a boutique called Milk & Honey and I love ‘em!

Here are a few similar options just in case you’re lovin’ em too. I also threw in one real 14k gold pair for all the fancy girls out there.

    gold knot earrings

Used Naked 2 palette for this smokey eye & Anastasia Brow Powder Duo for the brows.

Woo hoo, been gone a minute but baby I’m back. I have been travelling a lot with work so I’ve been too tired to update this but I am done travelling for a bit so now, I’m all yours. I’ve been getting a few emails and texts from friends asking what to wear to Easter this Sunday so I wanted to share a few ideas and tips… Most of you will be with family and friends so you want to look nice but of course, not over the top.

A few things to remember before choosing your outfit for Easter:

    1. Outfit- This is a family event, dress conservative/chic. Kids, aunts, uncles, grandparents… no one wants to see your low cut tops, super short skirts and fake lashes at Easter Brunch.

    2. Hair- You should look effortlessly pretty. Voluminous, well groomed, but nothing too big or over the top glam.

    3. Make Up- Your make up should be done nicely, but again nothing too bold. If you want a pop of color try a bare eye (Mascara only) with a bold lip (Hot pink, coral etc). Overall think bronzed, pastels, sheers, shimmers etc…

    4. Shoes- Unless you are going to a formal brunch or outing, I would personally wear a cute flat with your outfit. Nothing screams out “I’m trying too hard” more than a 5 inch heel to a casual family lunch. If you are having a nicer meal, at an outside venue, feel free to wear a reasonable heel.

    5. Nails- Right now bright nails are IN! You can’t really go wrong with your polish color right now, it’s Spring and the brighter the better! Hot pink, purple, coral, teal, yellow, orange… all cute options!

Now that I went over a few tips, here are a few examples of what I would wear to Easter brunch:

What to wear to Easter Brunch

Making Maritime Striped Dress- $40.00 Guess Wedge- $54.99

I’ve always loved pearls and polka dots, but lately I have been lovin’ them even more,  I even got Priscilla hooked on ‘em. Priscilla has been under a lot of stress lately so today she had a blueberry facial, a fresh hair cut and of course two hot pink polka dot bows to complete her makeover.

She’s one lucky pup because even I haven’t had that treatment in a while. I’ve been sooo busy with a million different things, planning Miami, Dallas & Chicago events for work, trying to workout after working all day, coming home to cook a healthy meal after the gym, and by the time I am done with all of the above here it is, 12:30am and I am trying to work some more.

I have been working a lot but, as always, I like to take time to have fun with my friends. I had been dying to go snowboarding, so a group of us rented a cabin and made it happen, it was so much fun and wasn’t even cold at allll. Well, kinda, but not as cold as I thought it would be. The mountain was pretty busy, but perfect weather and overall a fun trip! I of course, kept the polka dot trend going even in the snow.

My all pink gear paired with my polka dot Burton board.

Priscilla’s hot pink, polka dot bows, I dieeee she is so cute. Look how pissed she is.

Every year I swear I am going to go snowboarding when the weather finally permits, and every year something comes up and my snow plans fall through. Well, not this year! This weekend me and a group of friends are heading to the snow for a cozy weekend of cocktails, snow boarding & matching PJs. All of us girls have been texting back and forth about what to wear and pack so I wanted to make a cute little collage of some basics to pack, as well as outfit inspirations in case you too are heading to the snow this Winter! So with that being said, here is what I suggest packing for a Winter weekend in Cali.

    So what to pack?

Lounge clothing- It’s very cold but all the buildings, bars, restaurants etc. are heated and very warm.
    • Pack the basics. Jeans/pants, turtlenecks/long sleeves, warm socks, boots, beanies, gloves, tennis shoes.
    • One very warm jacket to wear over your layers.
Snow clothing- If you are hitting the snow, pack a million layers as it is freezing!
    • Long underwear, thick, thick socks, water resistant, well fitted gloves, a warm hat, goggles, snow clothing (Jacket/Pants).
    • SPF- The snow reflects the sun like no other, really make sure to lather up in SPF.
And now for the cute stuff.

What to wear to the snow

Outerwear- Pick a fun, bright but warm Winter coat to toss over your basics.

Scarf- Your neck will get cold, pack a few fun scarfs that match your coat!

Sunglasses- It is super bright on the snow so don’t forget the sunglasses! Pack a cheap pair, no one wants to break their favorite nice ones.

Boots- Boots are so important as keeping your feet warm will help keep the rest of you warm! Pack a pair of cute, cozy boots for the weekend.

Headwear- Your ears and head must stay warm so here are a few stylish ways to keep them cozy!

Lip Stains- Now this isn’t needed but who doesn’t want to still look cute on the mountain. Lip stains are perfect because they won’t smear into your hair, instead they keep the lips hydrated like a chapstick with added color!
      10. Revlon Just Bitten- $7.00 (Any drug store, I have 001 Honey Douce and LOVE it!)

Also, here a few of the outfits celebs were spotted in at recent Winter-ish events! As you can see they are dressed warm but nothing crazy, all about the layers!

I can’t believe Christmas is only 15 days away, and soon after that, NYE! I realized not only do I have no clue what I am doing, but I also have no clue what I am wearing. I’ve never gotten super fancy for a New Years, but this year I kind of want to. You know, put on one of those dresses that you can’t really wear any other night other than NYE? I know sequins are super played out but sometimes it’s fun to break the rules and do things anyway. I began searching for fancy dresses online and found a few I wanted to share, just in case you are in the same glamorous mood as me. I am sure I will end up at home in pajamas but oh well, doesn’t hurt to look.

All of these dresses have different personalities and prices to them, some classic, some conservative, some younger looking, some pricey, some affordable … Take your pick!

Bling Dynasty Gold Sequin Dress $78.00

    Geometric Sequin Blocked Dress $169.00

Notte by Marchesa Beaded Cocktail Dress $595.00

    BCBGMAXAZRIA Paillette Cocktail Dress $398.00

JS Boutique Dress One-Shoulder Dress $179.00

    BCBGMAXAZRIA Sleeveless Bandage Sheath $338.00

Strapless Sequined Mesh Short Dress $139.00

You can actually find similar party dresses like this one at David’s Bridal.

    Teal All-Over Sequined Dress $69.99

    Naven Tinkerbell Dress $518.00

    Embellished Short Scala Dress $178.00

Strapless Patterned Gold Sequin Dress by Scala $158.00

    Strapless Sweetheart Sequin Dress $210.00

    Flirt Short Sequin Dress $338.00

It’s that time of year again, holiday parties are almost here and everyone seems to be wondering, “What should I wear to my company’s holiday party?” The goal here is of course to be cute, all while remaining classy which means NO cleavage, no short skirts and no skin tight dresses! It’s fine to want to feel sexy every once and a while, but the office holiday party is not the place to do it.

Depending on the event, choose an outfit that fits the venue and time of day, but that remains conservative and classy. If the party is more casual you don’t want to show up over dressed, and it if it’s more formal you don’t want to show up sloppy. I will go ahead and assume 80% of your parties are at night time and on the nicer side, so here are examples of what I would wear, think sequins, flowy dresses, tights, skirts and blouses etc…

Indulgence de Leche Cream & Gold Sequin Dress $45.00

Bows of Holly Strapless Green Dress $47.00

Pleat Fleet Wine Red Vegan Leather Skirt $41.00

    Cuffington Post Lavender Dress $48.00

Tweed-ful Things Studded Gold Skirt $43.00

LULUS Exclusive Body-Con Artist Red Halter Dress $38.00

Leather Frock-ing Tale Black Vegan Leather Dress $68.00

      Tips to remember:

     * If you do wear a shorter dress, perhaps add tights to it. Skip the fishnets, too club-ish.

    * Keep your hair and make up classy, not over done.
    * Make sure all bra straps are covered.
    * Basically avoid anything too sexy, you really just want to look dolled up  yet classy.

    Enjoy your parties! xo
