    I officially started my new job today and am so excited to tell you all about it! I am now working as a VIP Host for all of TAO Group’s venues and also will be teaming up with their online marketing team to creatively network their already amazing events. TAO has always been a long time favorite of mine, and this opportunity will definitely be so much fun! I can’t wait to learn the in’s and out’s of Vegas the same way I learned San Diego’s, and overall to just have an awesome Summer.

    Anyone who knows about TAO, knows it’s reliable fun. Every time I go there I see tons of celebs and loveeee dancing in their hip hop room until I drip sweat ahha. Some of today’s biggest celebrities only host their events at TAO, especially my favorites, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton etc ;) Can’t wait to share some crazy stories and pictures with you guys from now on about all the fun events TAO is having.

    Did you also know that TAO is the number one grossing restaurant in the US (Yes the food is thattt good and yes it really is #1!) You gotta try it if you haven’t yet. I love their Chilean sea bass skewers, veggie spring rolls, and.. and… and, yum everythingggg. Not to mention the restaurant itself has the some of the coolest decors in Vegas.

    Anyway long story short, or kinda short … When you’re in Vegas make sure you email me to see what fun events TAO has in store! I can add anyone to the guest lists and make all dinner/ bottle service reservations you may need at any of our venues:

    * TAO Restaurant

    * TAO Nightclub

    * LAVO Restaurant

    * LAVO Nightclub

    * TAO Beach

    Please click on each venue to learn more about them, their hours, and dress codes! I LOVE TAO Beach for daytime fun… one of Vegas’ top pool parties for sure, and I of course always, always have so much fun at TAO Nightclub. I of course can also help you get set up at other venues so email me for any and all Vegas questions!

    EMAIL ME:

    amandajo@helloamanda.com

    INFO NEEDED:
    Name, # of guys, # of girls, date, and what you need. I will reply asap! I can also send quotes as well.

    Seriously life is crazyyyy right now, so sorry for the lack of posts! I think right now is hands down the hardest transition I have ever been through, correction, it is. I could lie and tell you all living in Las Vegas is a total blast but reality is it definitely has its ups and downs. So many people ask me why I ever moved out of San Diego to somewhere so crazy like Vegas and I really don’t have a reason other than I think everyone should push themselves outside their comfort zone at least once in this lifetime, and since I never have, this was my time! I was born and raised in San Diego and I was sick of seeing the same people at the same places, I wanted to get lost in a city and create a new life there. Now that I am lost in a new city, and well in over my head, all of me wants to move home because it’s terrifying, but I gotta keep going!

    I never had any desire to really leave SD until recently, I mean why would I? San Diego has it all. My best friends, my family, I had a secure job, a cozy home, a Pomeranian I love more than anything, I must have been crazy to pack up all my crap and move to Sin City? This move could be one of the biggest mistakes ever, but I trust that I will grow immensely from this and I’ll always know that San Diego and all those amazing things I left behind are just a 5 hour drive away. Coming home when I am home sick really has helped this transition. I come home, see everything is still the same and can venture back off to Vegas knowing I’m not missing anything new.

    I of course have been having a blast out here as well, soooo much to do! Saturday night I worked an event for a jewelry company called Ideal, a Canadian diamond company. 20 girls and I hit up TAO Nightclub and had so much fun.

    I ran into my new boss, Jason Strauss, who had a table with Brittny Gastineau and E! News host Giuliana Rancic, so it was fun seeing them in real life! Brittny Gastineau was celebrating the launch of her new jewelry line, Tres Glam,  at Lavo the following night, featuring a performance by Macy Gray. The best part of Vegas is there are always fun people around to meet and see!

    Ahhh so Memorial Day in Vegas has officially begun, the city is totallllly chaotic! I haven’t been going out at all lately so I decided to stop being a hermit and hit up Cheryl Burke’s birthday at TAO Beach with my friends from LasVegasPoolScene.com. These guys have been such good friends to me, helping me get to know people in Vegas and of course always keeping me in touch with the best events and pool parties to hit up. If you ever need the 411 on the hottest Vegas pool events make sure to check out my friend Joe’s site! He will get you on whatever guest lists you need for any Vegas pools and the site always covers the celebrity hosted events, fun site to check out :)

    Anyway, so we hit up TAO Beach because even though it’s been around a bit, it’s reliable fun ;) Today, like I said, was Cheryl Burke, from Dancing with the Star’s, birthday so TAO Beach was packed.

    LasVegasPoolScene.com had a day bed table so it was nice to just layout and sip a cocktail. Long over due. A few randy’s, Freddy, Shawn, Joe & I.

    If you live in Vegas the opening of Encore Beach Club is old newszzzz but I know so many of my San Diego and Cali friends have no idea what is about to hit Las Vegas! Encore’s Beach Club & Surrender Nightclub are two brand new venues being opened at The Encore Hotel, the sister hotel of Wynn. Encore Beach Club definitely is the place to go this Memorial Day and throughout the Summer so book your tables now! Also Neyo is performing the 29th, ahh love Neyo! Girls, need on the guest list? Lemme know and I can have my list guy put you on!

    The Encore Beach Club and Surrender Nightclub takes the daytime beach party and continues the party into a nightclub, transitioning guests from day to night. If you thought rehab was crazy you havent seen anything yet…

    Encore Beach Club is the premiere destination for the socialite seeking a quality party atmosphere. Upon entering the 60,000 square foot venue, guests are treated to a lush oasis featuring 40-foot palm trees surrounding three tiered pools. The deck offers ample seating provided by chaise lounges, couches and day beds featuring private safes. Guests preferring a cooler spot can choose to lounge on over sized lily pads resting in shallow water or dance under one of the shower poles. Encore Beach Club’s gaming pavilion beckons those looking to try their luck at blackjack or craps. Read More | Comments

    Living in Vegas I eat alllllll day, sometimes even at 12am. It really is crazy how the city changes your internal time clock. Anyway, I was dying to find a place that served a healthy fruit bowl in the middle of the night, so off to yelp I went and bam, I found my new favorite gangster hangout, The Peppermill.

    Not gonna lie, when I first pulled up to the Peppermill Restaurant on Las Vegas Blvd. I was a bit skeptical. The outside is not the most inviting, however what is inside totally makes up for it ;) They say never judge a book by it’s cover and that’s totally the case when it comes to the Peppermill.

    As soon as you enter the Peppermill you’ll notice it has a Denny’s/diner vibe to it however it’s sooo much better than any crappy Denny’s. The entire place is lit up with neon pink and purple lights and the lamps above every table? PINK Flamingos! I loveeee flamingos and neon pink lights, I was instantly soooo excited. I l-l-loveeee unique restaurants!

    Oh my gossssh get excited, I found the yummiest new place to eat if you’re in Las Vegas! Botero is located inside the Encore Hotel, Wynn’s sister hotel, and is hands down one of the top 5 best places I have ever eaten. I don’t know where to evennn begin telling you how much I love it… from the decor to the food, everything was amazing. Just another reason why Wynn & Encore are my favorite hotels!

    We initially wanted to try out the SW Steakhouse but due to Cinco De Mayo madness they were booked, good thing because next up was Botero. Botero overlooks the XS Nightclub and pool area at Encore so you can eat either a Summery poolside lunch or an indoor dinner. The interior is circular, similar to the layout of XS. Picture giant pillars covered in white, diamond-quilted leather, and as the restaurant centerpiece? A gigantic glossy, black seated lady sculpture inspired by Colombian Artist Fernando Botero. Overall, Botero has a super modern yet fun ambiance suitable for all ages and personalities :) Read More | Comments

    Since everyone seems to be left so confused over my recent over night relocation I decided to update you all on exactly what is going on over here… well actually, there really isn’t much to update or say other than I moved to Las Vegas! I have been playing around with the idea for years and finally decided to make the jump. I drove out my stuff with my pal Arika on Saturday and finally have gotten all settled in. We got a chance to run around Las Vegas a bit and play, so overall it was a super exciting weekend, with lots of changes. I plan on hiding out here for a bit and revamping my site, you know… really kicking it up a notch so stay tuned ;)

    After moving all day Saturday, Arika and I decided to head out and meet up with some friends! The great thing about living in Las Vegas, is that you always have someone in town visiting. On Saturday night we hit up Vanity nightclub at The Hard Rock Hotel with Shiela & Angie.

    It was eh ok, super busy due to the fight being in town. We stayed at Vanity a bit and peaced out to eat Sonic. Why is eating always more fun?

    My 2nd favorite Kardashian turned 31 last weekend, and what better way to celebrate than to hit up a Vegas pool party? Kourtney Kardashian and her 2 sisters made a splash at Wet Reublic, another one of the trendy pool parties, this one being at the MGM Hotel. The birthday party was sponsored of course by Wet Republic but also by Bombay Sapphire. Gin? Yuck but hey, at least the cake looks cool!

    At Wet Republic they walked the red carpet, Kim in a black Proenza Schouler jumper, L’Wren jewels and Robert Rodriguez heels and Kourtney flashing a bikini under a cover up. See, I told you rompers would be all the fuss this Spring & Summer ;) To shop an almost identical black romper as the one Kim wears here, visit www.bebe.com.

    Here are some pics of the sisters at the event! Anyone else think Kim’s lips are part of the ever changing face she’s been showing off lately? Maybe they’re just lined but they look a little plumper to me ;P
