I love loveeee The Grand Del Mar, suchhhhh a pretty hotel property, so I was excited to hear about the event they were having last night. VLING® Mixers hosted a cocktail party so me and a few friends went to check it out.

In case you’re wondering what VLING® is… VLING® is a new electrolyte-infused drink mixer, butttt, unlike other mixers, has no caffeine,  is low in calories, and has a low-sugar hydration which means it’s designed to keep you hydrated when you’d normally become dehydrated from drinking. Each serving of VLING® contains twice the electrolytes as the leading sports drinks so you can hydrate all night long!

The party was super cute, they had a bunch of VLING® girls dressed as flight attendants passing out samples of the different flavors, as well as a hosted cocktail bar with a bunch of fun cocktails made with Vling and delicious appetizers as well. My for sureee fave was the “Vlingarita”, it tasted like well, a margarita. I had a couple and am hangover free today, could it be the electrolytes? Who knows… They also made sure everyone left with a cute gift bag with more VLING® samples, a shirt and a hat. Overall super fun event :)

Anyway, here are a few pics, and oh… in case you’re wondering,VLING® comes in Cranberry-Pomegranate, VLING® soda Water and vlinG® Tonic Water flavors.

For more information about VLING, visit their website here, or to attend a similar event where you can taste test it out for yourself, visit their Facebook page to keep up on their events.

When it comes to luggage, I need something sturdy, realll sturdy… I move around a lot. After the last 4 bags busted and broke, I realized it was time to invest in some real, big girl luggage. I went online to begin my search. Where to begin? I knew I needed something cute of course, but that wouldn’t fall apart after one Vegas trip. I’ve heard that Heys was a good brand so I began researching it more and reading their reviews. Once I confirmed that the brand was legit and did hold up well, I then began the quest for the cutest set. Pink was of course the first choice, but since everything I own is pink, I was in the mood to switch it up.

I came across the Leopard Heys Luggage set and at first wasn’t into it. I thought 3 leopard bags? Too much leopard! But then I realized realistically, you really only travel with one bag at a time. The small bag for overnighters. The medium bag for Vegas trips, and the big daddy bag for longer trips… This 3 piece leopard set was perfect! Plus I’ve always wanted to try out a luggage that has the 4 wheelie things, they always seem to effortlessly glide across airport floors. I’ve been jealous far too long.

Stylish but sturdy and definitely affordable! Click click, “Buy it Now”. It arrived almost instantly and I am off to put it to use! I will let you know how it holds up in a few weeks :)

***Note when Ebaying This: The site that I found the luggage on is back ordered until June 2011. You can also check Ebay just search: Heys leopard print luggage. Be careful though, many people sell Travel Concepts which is not Heys. A brand by Heys but not actual Heys. Make sure it says Heys and not Heys TC or Travel Concepts.

I have a fun new place to tell you about, you may or may have heard of it already, but The Rivera Hotel in Palm Springs is a really fun place to visit, even if it’s just for the day! It’s a hotel that has a super fun pool to hang out at, it makes for a great quick day trip getaway. I’ve always wanted to go because I saw pictures of it that looked really fun, the pool has these giant floaty bright colored pillows you can lay on so I had to check them out! A few gfs and I headed out to Palm Springs and had a blast at the pool. Anyway, for more info on The Rivera Hotel check out their site! It’s about 2 hours away and a super fun, quick day vacation. You don’t need a hotel key to get in either ;)

They have tons of yummy drink options too. Perfect pool to kick back and relax at for the day.

I had the best time on my road trip up the 101 freeway, I had to tell you all about it! I embarked upon a serious road trip along the entire West coast last week until today. I started my adventure in San Francisco and headed North all the way to Portland, Oregon via SUV. The last time I took this trip was probably over 10 years ago with the fam. We’d all pile in my family’s van, fully equip with an air mattress in the back, and drive from San Diego to John Day, OR. I was pretty young at the time and slept most the way, so now that I’m a bit older, and can appreciate pretty sceneries, this trip was a total blast!

Like I said, we started off in San Francisco. San Fran was amazingggg minus the freezing cold, windy weather. Think New York in the Winter. Well, not that cold, but pretty cold! Most definitely Winter coat cold. We stayed at the Mandarin Hotel, on the 45th floor, what an amazing hotel and view.

Next time you find yourself in San Fran with a couple hundred bucks to blow on a hotel, Mandarin is worth it. Check out the view from our room!

We went for a nice run along the Embarcadero one morning, but then spent the rest of the time in San Fran searching for Mexican food. Pretty hard to find in this town. **Tip when traveling to San Fran? Monday’s are DEAD past 10pm, and most restaurants close early. The only late night spot we found near the hotel? A place called Oola. It was actually pretty delicious, and open til midnight. I had a nice cheese plate and a fancy grilled cheese. Oink. Read More | Comments

Looking for a new vacation getaway on the West Coast? I just returned from exploring Phoenix, Arizona and actually had a blast. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the city, but there surprisingly was tons to do. I posted last week about our hiking adventures on Camelback Mountain, and now wanted to share a little hotel tip with you all in case you are in the area looking for an awesome place to stay.

We stayed at a hotel called The Sanctuary, and if you were ever a Britney Spears stalker like I once was, this hotel would ring a bell, as this is one of Britney’s favorite stops in Arizona. Back in 2006 when she had her meltdown, Britney came here to hideout for a while to just relax. The Sanctuary Hotel seems to be quite the celebrity hideaway, other A-listers recently spotted were Jennifer Aniston as well as Vince Vaughn.

As for the hotel itself, its amazingggg. What is unique about the place is that each hotel room is it’s own mini townhouse sorta deal. Each “room” or mini house as I would like to call it, has it’s own easily identifiable cool name too. Think of it as it’s address I suppose. We stayed in Pearl :)

The rooms have a layout similar to a house… A living room with a cozy fireplace and mini kitchenette area (Fully stocked with Goose & Veuve), a big master bedroom, a hugeeeee bathroom (tons of getting ready space/room to make a mess), and the best part, an outdoor patio fully equip with an outdoor TUB! Was so fun to take a bath before bed under the stars. They also leave out bath salts and candles, ahhh it was great.

I decided I need to kick my fitness up a notch, and what better way to mix it up than to go for a nice hike?! While visiting Phoenix, AZ last weekend my friends and I decided to do just that by hiking to the top of Camelback mountain. I figured eh, a 2 mile hike? Nice and easy… or so I thought. Things started off smooth, here I am barely sweating…

But shortly after this pic, things got a bit crazy. This was notttt just hiking, more so rock climbing. Sure you hike most of the way, but what everyone forgot to mention was that you’re hiking straight up actual rocks. And not just small rocks, HUGE rocks. At some points the mountain is sooo steep they had to install poles to help you up.

Last week I worked an event in Palm Springs, CA which gave me the chance to explore a new city. For all you San Diegans, Palm Springs is super close (2hr drive) and a perfect place to dash off to for a quick getaway. There is so much to do out there, tons of fun restaurant and hotels to visit. If you can handle the slow drivers (Everyone that lives there is 80+) then it’s a great place for a quick and easy weekend vacation.

My favorite part of the Palm Springs weekend was a hotel called Le Parker Méridien. As soon as I pulled into the hotel I fell in love. All the valet boys sport PINK sports coats, blazers and pants!
