Ahhhhhhhh I woke up to an email today from my pal Juan letting me know about this new movie called “Young Adult” that is coming out December 16th. He sent me the movie poster, and I’m not gonna lie, my heart sunk a bit because you can clearly tell Charlize and I have a lot in common and you can also see her face is a total disaster so my immediate reaction was oh great, this movie is gonna remind me what a young adult of a mess I am. Then I watched the trailer and it made me laugh, I guess you can’t help who you are. **As I am typing this, Priscilla just ran by in her heart print, pink fur trimmed Winter coat. ;)

Anyway, I love so many parts of the trailer… her trying to smuggle her Pomeranian in all while telling the girl that nope, she has no dog… the way she looks at the nail lady, her always getting dolled up, her saying gross, her dry, grumpy sarcasm, the only thing we don’t have in common is a married ex worth going back for. I am not exactly sure what direction this movie is gonna go but I can’t wait to see it and at least get a good laugh at the similarities. December 16th! You can find me front and center in a Hello Kitty shirt and Priscilla in a bag near by.

I went to see The Town last night and really liked it, soooo if you’re looking for a good movie to see I would suggest it. A brief synopsis… “The Town” is the story of four men who live as thieves, rivals and friends. They stage bank robberies all around Boston, MA until FBI agents finally catch on to them. Ben Affleck and his posse rob a bank and  he ends up falling for one of his victims behind his friends back. He ends up struggling between a crime filled life and leaving it all behind a new life in Florida. His friends don’t make the choice easy so the entire movie is Ben’s struggle between good and evil. The movie is a fast paced chase and didn’t drag much.

Directed by Ben Affleck, it was surprisingly good… then again I love most corrupt love stories. It had a good story line and all the ingredients I like in movies… crime, action, suspense, and romance. Definitely a movie for both guys and girls since the non stop crazy bank robberies, guns, and action appeal to men and the romance and suspense appeal to the women. I’m a picky critic and I give it an A.

Running Time: 2 hr. 4 min.

    In Theaters: Sep 17, 2010

    Box Office:$23.8M

Did anyone else see it yet? It is getting good reviews on Rottentomatoes.com also if you want to read more reviews!

Ok Robert Allen, um… do you have a brother? There is a new show on Fox called Lone Star and after just the first episode, I was left creeped out. “Robert Allen” is a Texas con-man who is living a secret double life. As “Bob,” he is married, yes marrrrriedddddd, to a beautiful, smart woman named Cat and lives in Houston while working for his oil-tycoon father-in-law. Four hundred miles away and a few days later he lives as “Robert” who has a girlfriend named Lindsey.

As he plans to take control of the oil business he finds himself torn between the love of two women, he must fight to keep his web of lies from falling apart. His own Dad encourages him to lead these double lives because all he cares about are whores and money. Robert tries to walk away from this corrupt life, but his Dad tells him basically to stop having real feelings for the people in his life. “What have I taught you. You play any character you want but you never play as yourself, that’s what lets you walk when the time comes.”

    Bob with his wife Cat.

    And now with girlfriend Lindsey.

At first glance Ted is a charming, sweet, intelligent man, but dig a bit little deeper and you find a scandalous cheater with 2 cell phones, one for his wife, and one for his on the side girlfriend, multiple “jobs” and a disturbing hidden agenda. Two cities, two totally opposite lives. The episode was sooooo crazy and the last 5 minutes even crazier, I gasped even hahahaah. Sooooo many twists and turns, I won’t give it away but you have to watch the first episode below and every Monday night on KSWB at 9pm. Definitely a new show to add to my Monday night DVR.

The saddest part is people like this really exist ickkkkk so scary.
