Yep sorry girls, there are Vegas Pool shoe rules… After hitting up all the pool parties here in town, I’ve realized sooooo many girls have no idea what kind of shoes to wear to Vegas pool parties. One of the biggest, most common, mistakes girls make is wearing their actual clubbing/party shoes out to the pool. Can this work sometimes? Sure, but always? Um…no. It definitely takes a certain look and style to be able to pull off the celebrity pool look.

Besides, clubs and pools are two totally different environments, your shoes should coordinate accordingly. Black stilettos? Not really a pool shoe. Boots? DEF not a pool shoe. I have seen girls in anything from 5 inch spike heels to 1 inch tall boots. 1 inch tall boots are not for anywhere other than a chilly Fall day, so I have no idea why anyone would be wearing a boot to a Vegas pool anyway, whole nother post….

There are of course exceptions to every rule, the exception here? If you can pull of the celebrity pool look without looking like you are overly trying. So many girls try and pull off this look but it simply just doesn’t work. They toss on a random bikini and mis-match spiked heel thinking the heel completes the outfit. No. Make sure the bikini, hair, outfit, make up, and shoe all coordinate and flow together.

Bored and want to try a new look? Pull your hair back and choose something exploding with color. Take advantage of bright fashions now while you still can! This dress would be perfect with tan or brown shoes and tons of gold accessories! You could also copy Kim’s take on it and pair it with an accessory that has both black and orange in it to make black shoes work perfectly with it. Love her simple hair and make up so if you want to skip out on accessories all together and grab a hot bag, that’s always an option too!

Are you guys sick of my Kim Kardashian fashion posts yet? Because hmm I could do them forever ;) I love blazers as you know, so I wanted to post another way to create a cute outfit with your favorite blazer. Kim Kardashian looks effortlessly cute here in deep colored blazers, a flowy tank and her favorite distressed jeans. This is such an easy look to re-create, perfect for a lunch date, or day time event. It’s a perfect balance of dressy and casual. The trick here is of course to always keep your hair and make up fresh and clean, to pump up the casual look just a tad.

I also like her simple accessories, the outfit is fun enough without overly accessorizing, instead go for some stud earrings, a small necklace and maybe some bracelets. Oh and cute heels of course ;) Loving the nude heels.

Shop this look for both guys & girls below. Guys, a casual blazer/jacket + white T + distressed denim= super stylish ;)

I will always love ruffles, call me an 8 year old fine, but I still love em. One of my favorite bikini tops of last year, was a Victoria’s Secret ruffle top so I am happy to see that the ruffle trend lives on this bikini season.

I am not really a fan of Old Navy however, they have the cutesttttt ever ever Women’s Ruffled Bandeau Swim Tops, and they run at just $16.50 a piece! This top comes in black, baby blue, hotttt pink and peach. The bottoms look huge so I would skip those and buy a smaller bottom elsewhere. Victoria’s Secret has also reinvented the ruffle bikini, this year with a Ruffle sliding triangle top. Tops run at $24.00 and the bottoms only $15.00. The trick to VS bottoms is buying the tie side bikini bottoms one size too small and then just adjusting the tie. That way the butt is less covering but not pinching the sides.

So when swimwear shopping this season, consider ruffles!

I used to really like Ke$ha but I have decided I’m pretty much over her wanna be asszzzz. She tries too hard and reminds me of Avril. That angry little girl who doesn’t brush her hair stuff only goes so far for me, eventually people are going to realize you can’t sing. After she pulled that Hollywood stunt I became annoyed with her… (She covered the Hollywood Hills sign with a white sheet and painted over it to say KeshaWood. Um you’ve been famous an hour, relax)

Buttttt THEN, I watched her latest video Blah Blah and got super annoyed again, deciding instantly that I am over her. You swearrrrr she didn’t want that fools table like um…yesterday when she wasn’t kewl. Anyway I think Kesha is talent-less and annoying. Hopping OFF the Ke$ha bandwagon starting…. neeeowww. She started off too loud and too cocky for only having one hit song. She should have been more humble and came out with something a bit less aggressive and maybe I’d still be on board.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still rock out to her songs, they are catchy yes. I just don’t love her the way I love Beyonce or Pink. They are reallllll divas who have earned their sass.

Watch the Blah Blah video on youtube and decide for yourself. What do you guys think of Ke$HA and her too soon tude?

This is the exact reason I don’t FFF around with diet pills. Look who is back to being a big girl? Hey… I have no problem with big girls, I’m just sayin tho, what’s the point in being skinny for one month then gaining it all back? As I posted before, Khloe and Kim are HUGE spokespeople for Quik Trim diet pills, however this pic is proof the results are super temporary. I don’t know about you, but I rather stay consistent, work out, eat semi healthy and just be happy with the way I am.

Then again, maybe Khloe’s weight gain is because she’s preggo, she did say she was trying!? Guess well find out soon here.

Remember the good old days? The oh… 2 month ago days? Diet pills are yuck! PS I need to learn how to photoshop myself to look as good as they do here. Lotsa corrective clicks!

To be honest, I think more of my readers are men than women, isn’t it funny how that works? Girly fashion blog attracting men? I think the reason for this is obvious, guys want to know what girls like. I am going to try to focus more on men’s articles as well, so stay tuned for more male fashion tips & suggestions!

First things first… for me I think male fashion is simple. If I was a guy, I would wear 3 things over and over…black, dark denim and sneakers almost everyday. It just looks the best, sorry if it’s boring. Its simple, modern, manly and clean.  I think guys should look put together, but not overly trying.

3 Looks I LOVE on guys:

    1. Black Shirts. A basic black tee goes a long way! From black V-necks to black button downs, I love men in black. I also love solid colors and basic prints. To prevent your black items from turning dingy and faded, remember to dry clean only.

    black men's Vneck

    2. Dark Dressy Denim- Every guy should own a few pairs of nice jeans. I still love dark denim and love the cut of these 7 for All Mankind Jeans. Baggy jeans are out, keep your jeans fitted and straight legged. Oh and skinny jeans on guys is barf too. Avoid.

So last night I got a few emails from girls wondering how the affordable shoes I post about hold up when put to the test? That’s right, do I pay the price for buying inexpensive heels? So far I have had minimal problems with the shoes I have purchased from Cutesygirl.com and have been happy with their products. Are they Louboutins? NO. Are they cute? Comfy enough? And still in one piece after a few wears? YES.

I think I go into the purchase expecting them to be what they are, a cheap shoe. Considering how low some of these prices are, you do have to expect to get what you pay for, however so far I have been pleasantly surprised. I have worn my Cutesygirl.com heels several times and like I said, they are comfy, cute and still holding up!

Another tip when buying cheap shoes is to pay attention to the material. A lot of the plastic-y materials are gross to me and are what makes the shoe look cheap. Imitation leather? I won’t buy it. The only cheap shoe I will buy is suede or a thick leather, anything that still looks nice. It is a bit tricky weeding through these online sites, but I have, and I found tons of cute stuff!

Here are two examples of buying cheap shoes successfully…

    The wrong way…

    * Cheap material, looks like fake plastic, and you can see the not so perfect stitching…

    cheap online shoes

And now for the right way…

    * You can’t tell if these are Bebe or from Cutesygirl.com. The material is suede so it’s easy to fake.

    rihanna ankle boots

So next time you are in the cheap shoe market, remember these tips!

    * NO imitation leather!

    and

    * You get what you pay for, don’t expect them to last forever, they will be good for a few weeks of wear and tear and that’s probably it. I try to buy a balance of the nice shoes I can rely on, and cheaper ones to keep a variety of looks fresh in my closet.

Happy Shoe Shopping :) Don’t forget to check out cutesygirl.com for 50% off their already cheap shoes!
