Leopard Print has been around for as long as I can remember, always one of my favorite, go to trends. As popular as Leopard may be, perfecting this trend can be tricky! One wrong move and you’ll end up looking like Peg Bund or Snooki. To avoid any feline fashion faux paws, I bring to you today the:

    Lady Leopard Laws

    1. Limit the leopard print to one clothing item and neutralize it with simple, clean colors. Black, white, tan, brown… no other prints unless you are going for a super wild look. I prefer to keep the leopard to a minimum.

    2. Balance out the amount of leopard you are wearing, evenly with your hair and make up “glam” level. This means trying to keep overly wild, curly hair to a minimum when sporting a leopard print top or dress. Too much going on up top can ruin your look. If you are wearing a leopard dress or top, we suggest keeping your hair natural looking, straight or with a slight wave. However, if you are only wearing leopard print shoes, curl & glam away.

    3. Avoid cheap looking leopard prints. Anything spandexy, shiny, glittery or un-natural should be avoided. The key is to make sure the leopard print looks like real animal print.

    4. Have fun with leopard print and don’t be afraid of it! Follow these tips and we’ll bet you’re lookin lovely in leopard!

Leopard DO: Keep it simple with a classy black dress and a cute pair of leopard heels.

Leopard DO: Some stylish leopard shorts & a cute basic top.

Leopard DON’T: Matching your leopard dress, with your leopard bag.

I figured with time this trend would slowy kill itself and disappear out of pure tackiness but hmm guess not because I saw some Asian guy wearing bright green eyes at Wavehouse last Sunday. Granted I was in Mission Beach…. but hot green eyes? C’mon. I’ll give it to the guy tho, at least he knows how to match his eyes with his neon green shirt and neon green converse. It also seems that every time I’m on Facebook, someone else’s pics come up with weird colored contacts. They’re so ugly and so not ok, they remind me of Hot Topic/ 8th grade. I am all for some fake things… fake tan, fake nails, fake hair even, fine. As long as it still looks semi natural I think a bit of help is ok, but all these bright blue eyes on an Asian with white hair is a bit over the top. It doesn’t make you look exotic, it makes you look weird the end.

    * Update, as I was writing this, Clady confessed she’d like a violet pair. So ugly. Oh look at her and her violet eyes, I wonder what ethnicity she is.

I love the built in “I’m rolling on E” look. So handy.

I don’t like to focus too much on fashions I dislike, however… I am seriously soooo not into this clog trend we’re being told to rediscover. Sorry Mary Kate & Ashley fans, I will not be hopping on this Swedish inspired shoe trend train.

And these flat chunky heeled boots? Never, soooo ugly. Well, maybe they’re ok to wear on the back of a Harley, but only on a Harley, never anywhere else. No, I changed my mind back, these are not ok to wear anywhere, so ugly. The height, the looseness around the ankle, the flat/chunky heel, all so bad.

Anyway not much else to say other than these two kinds of shoes are majorly fugly and I shall avoid at all costs this Fall, you should too ;)

Ehhh nice hair Drew, uh not. Drew stepped out at the premiere of her new movie, Going the Distance, with some seriously fugly hair. First of all the color is hideous, I am all for a bit of that two toning thing, but that is just wayyyy too much. And second of all, I see your shoulder length hair peeking through. Hair extension faillllllllll.

Tip for girls that are going to wear extensions? Make sure the bottom layer of your real hair isn’t showing like this! Nothing is worse than screaming out “I’m wearing a weave”… way to fix this? Use a small rubber band (the kind they use for cornrows or small braids) and pull back the bottom short pieces of your hair into a mini ponytail. Problem solved.

This will be one of those things that I know some people like, but I definitely do not. Matte nails are ugly. Why would you ever want your nails to be dull and faded? Yuck. One trend I will be skipping out on, um forever. Glossy, glistening, shiny nails always please! Major nail don’t :)

Shoot so now I guess I have to too? Kim Kardashian announced that she has officially retired her black one sleeved dresses. She did wear black one sleeved dresses like there was no tomorrow, so it’s about time she took a break from them. I suppose it was time for me to give the black, one sleeved section in my closet a break as well. I love prints and bright colors so it’s time I buy more of them! So ta ta black one sleeve’s, there is so much more to life than you anyway ;)

So the other day I was eating at Firehouse in PB and in walks this bro with bleach blonde surfer hair, a droopy muscle tank, too tight short shorts (By the way are these in style again also?) and a turquoise woven Indian headband. Yes a headband, Pocahontas style. We all stared at this guy confused like, hmmm did he lose a bet? Is he serious? No… he has to be kidding, but nope, sure enough he sat down at the table with the rest of his bros, who keep in mind, said nothing about his headband, and ate a nice lunch. Is this some new trend men have taken a liking to? I mean I know some girls who wear the hippie headbands and it’s cute, but guys? No. Never.

Guys, leave the headband wearing to us girls…
