For those of you a bit behind, catch up! I now work for Naughty Monkey, a super fun fashion footwear line based here in San Diego, where I am part of the marketing team. I am obsessed with my job and am super excited to have teamed up with The Andaz Hotel & DJhere.com to throw my first fashion show, I can’t wait! Clear your schedule now, it’s going to be a blast :)

When: Saturday, June 25th at 9pm.

The show was created in honor of us turning 7 years old, and will feature some of our latest and greatest Summer & Fall fashion’s.

We’ve also reserved a super fun photo-booth that not only prints the pics for you right then and there, but also allows you to upload party pics right from the machine to your Facebook!

From 8-9om there of course is a delicious hosted cocktail hour, with a variety of drinks named after some of our best selling shoes.

The show will begin at approximately 9:15pm and consist of 10 models showing off our heels on giant lit up cubes atop the Andaz Hotel. It will be perfect weather for a rooftop fashion show.

Cameo’s will be made by the following companies:

    * Attire: Eden Boutique & NYLA Kensington Boutique

    * Hair & Make up: Blend Hair Lounge

    * Accessories: Shop Belina & Stella & Dot

I was watching the morning news today and saw that KUSI voted Boudoir as the #1place to be this 2011 NYE! I obviously knew this to be true already ;) , but kind of cool KUSI and FOX News feel the same way. Boudoir will be having a giant NYE party this Friday night, and the only way in is to purchase bottle service or tickets.

Tickets now are only $40.00, and considering we have one of the largest venues in San Diego, Boudoir should be one of the less hectic venues to go. There are of course other popular clubs you could go to, but their capacity is no where near ours, and who likes being stepped on all night? Not me. So with that being said… buy your tickets now and I will see you all at midnight!  I will be drinking PJ Rose somewhere, kissing stinky 2010 goodbye.

    For $40.00 tickets: Buy HERE!

So I went to Disneyland this week, and had the best time EVER! Everyone mustttt go to Disneyland right now considering it is Holiday decorated! The entire park is so festive and soooo cute, it made the Disneyland experience so much better. Picture Christmas trees and lights, reindeer, snow, fireworks, and holiday decorations everywhereeee, it definitely put me in the Christmas mood, and Erin and I of course felt like Disney holiday Princess’ the entire day.

There were so many pretty things to see around the park, but my favorite part had to be Sleeping Beauty’s castle, especially at night, the entire castle was dripping with lights and even lit up pink and purple ahhhhh.

I can’t tell you tooooo much yet, BUT, I am soooo excited to let you guys know about a brand new nightclub opening here in San Diego called Boudoir. For those who don’t know what Boudoir means, a boudoir is a lady’s private bedroom, sitting room or dressing room. The term derives from the French verb bouder, meaning “to pout”. To pout? Dressing rooms? Perfect, I’ll fit right in. I will be working here so I would love for you to come check it out!

Soft opening is next Thursday November 11th.

For Guest List or table reservations please email me! amanda@boudoirsd.com

A bit of background on Boudoir… Boudoir San Diego is owned by Mike Viscuso, who every San Diego socialite knows is the well-known nightlife mogul responsible for some of San Diego’s hottest nightclubs, including Downtown’s first club E Street Alley. Mike later went on to open On Broadway, Deco’s and Belo, as well as the popular Kress in Hollywood, and now has reinvented the space formerly known as Jade Theater into his own personal take on Downtown dining and entertainment with an upscale burlesque flair, to be named Boudoir. Mike also will be re-opening Jack’s in La Jolla in a few months, of course with a new name… Mike’s.

I prefer the rain over the sun any day hence the flipped headline. Call me a spoiled San Diegan, but I dislike the sun for the most part. Unless I’m sun bathing on a yacht in Miami, I prefer to be wrapped in black, scarves, coats, boots, beanies and blankies. Lovin the rain. Weather is a great metaphor for life … sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad, and there’s nothing much you can do bout it but carry an umbrella and wear cute boots.

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”

La Jolla, CA after the rain, nothin prettier.
