Wow talk about being in the right place at the right time… 10 minutes after we left Stingaree, a club Downtown last night, an Emerald cab driver blacked out while driving and lost total control of his car plowing through the entrance! As you can imagine tons and tons of people were leaving and standing out front of the club at the time it happened, resulting in 25 people being ran over and severely injured by the cab.
I am so thankful I left to go eat pizza per my usual 1:40am fatness, as my roommate said, “Saved by the bell-y”. Funny, but not so funny for the others involved. I had no idea how bad the accident was, until I asked a few others exactly what had happen, here is what I found out.
25 people were injured, four critically. No one died luckily, but one girl’s leg was amputatedddd below the knee because of the crash. 
I can’t even imagineeee going out with my girlfriends, and coming home with no leg. Talk about a wake up call, anything can happen to anyone, at anytime.
My girlfriend called me from the accident super upset, she was still inside the club when the crash happened. She was shaking and out of breath telling me she has never ever seen anything like what she saw last night, and wanted to make sure I was home safe. She said there were about 12 firetrucks and ambulances at the club, and that she saw people stuck between the parked cab inside Stingaree and the walls inside, screaming for help.
