    New healthy snack alert! While working at coffee bean last week… due to moving and not having Internet… I discovered the yummiest new snacks there, a yogurt and oatmeal bar! Coffee bean is my hands down favoriteeee coffee place, non fat, no sugar added vanilla latte on ice pleaseeeeeee, and now it’s even better after discovering these new treats! I was starving and didn’t want to chow down a fat cookie, so I asked the girl working what my healthiest options were. At first she said nothing… great… but then she remembered they had an oatmeal and yogurt bar. Yum, tell me more…

    “Basically you pick a yogurt or oatmeal flavor and add the toppings you want.” she said. Your delicious choices are: Blackberry Cobbler, Apple Pie, Banana Brown Betty, Banana Peanut Butter Crunch, Bananas Foster, Peaches n’ Cream or Strawberries n’ Cream. Yogurt and oatmeal concoctions can also be individually crafted with countless dried fruit, granola, fresh fruit, candy and nut toppings.

    I initially wanted banana but they were out so I of course was fat and got the Apple Pie one. So much for my healthy snack? After I went to www.coffeebean.com to learn about the calories of the oatmeals and they conveniently didn’t have it available. I hope it’s not worse than I think :/

    Overall the oatmeal was super tasty and seems pretty healthy if you get it with a simple fruit like banana. The apple pie was almost like a dessert, a bit too sweet. Next time I would ask for less sugary topping or just hope for bananas being in stock. Definitely a must try for all though.

    Areeee you kidding me with this sandwich? Can I even call it a sandwich considering there is no bread, instead 324 meat patties… one on top of another? YUCK. If you haven’t seen this disgusting sandwich yet, here it is. The newest treat KFC has to offer, the Double Down. What exactly does this sandwich consist of? Two deep fried chicken patties which serve as buns, two pieces of bacon and two melted slices of cheese all slathered in mayonnaise. Barf. What’s even worse? KFC has sold over 10 milllllllllion of these in just ONE month! They were only supposed to have the sandwich on their menu until Sunday, but hey, ten million of you fatties bought em so why stop selling them now!? I mean really? Deep friend chicken in mayo bacon and American cheese? That’s like my worst nightmare. Glad they claim it’s “low carb” did they forget there are massive amounts of carbs, sodium, fat and calories in this thing?

    I bet you’re wondering just exactly how many calories something like this actually contains? Well, KFC claims online that the sandwich has only 540 calories and 32 grams of fat but yyyyyeah right! It’s been reported that it actually has about 1,228 calories and I wouldn’t be surprised if it had more. 1,288 calories? That is practically my daily intake. And people wonder why they’re fat. If you eat pure greasy fried fat? You’re gonna be fat.

    I feel like this sandwich is the Snuggie of sandwiches. People buy it just because it’s so absurd and laughable, they try it just to say they did. Anyway, can’t wait to hear about all you sickos who’ve tried this thing, no holding back on me now!

    So I am on day 3 of my 5 day liquid only cleanse and I am somehow ok!? Yesterday was rough but not as bad as I thought it would be. For someone who lovessss food, no really, LOVE… the most challenging part is mentally telling myself “You’re notttt hungry” and resisting all the snacks around me. You feel hungry on the liquid diet, however the mixture they give you fills you up enough. I do always feel hungry, but never starved. Definitely sucks always wanting to eat but I’m sticking to it! This isn’t something you should try if you cant stick to it, because after doing it for a day or two you’ll want to quit.

    After 3 days of lighter eating, and 3 days of the actual “liquid” cleanse, I already notice results. Obviously not eating will make anyone appear slimmer, but it mostly feels good knowing I’m cleaning out my entire body for a fresh start. It overall makes you want to eat better and just become a healthier person. I was a bit more tired yesterday, but after the first 48 hours you become super energized and way less hungry. I’m not gonna lie and say it’s easy but I do recommend everyone does try one once in their life and if I can do it, anyone can. I will also confess that I have been snacking on almonds. I think it actually helps to eat a tiny bit otherwise I feel like the mix has nothing to stick to inside. If you do eat, only eat natural, organic things and tiny tiny bits.

    The actual shakes themselves aren’t fun to drink and right now I have to drink 5 a day. 1 every 3 hours. You mix the packet with apple juice so it tastes better. You can drink all the organic juice you want while on the diet, or even have veggie soup, the broth helps because it’s warm and at least feels like you’re eating something. So far so good, counting down the days until it’s over but in the meantime, enjoying the results :)

    So I’m doing it, I’m actually attempting to do one of those internal colon cleanses, yuck I know, but I figured so many of you have asked me about them, it’s about time I man, or wo-man up and do it. I will document the next few days and let you know how it goes for me. A friend of a friend recommended Blessed Herbs by saying he lost over 30 pounds just by doing one cleanse so I figured why not try it out? I googled about it a ton and there are tons of people who claim it’s a scam so I guess we’ll soon find out!

    There are a couple of cleanses you can do from Blessed Herbs but I chose to smart small and just do the 5 day colon cleanse to start. There are a few ways to do this cleanse, I of course am doing the “best” option which means NO food, and liquids ONLY while taking their supplements. Are you kiddingggg? I’ve never gone more than a few hours without eating, everytime I try to be anorexic it lasts about uhhhm 1 hour before I quit. I always wonder how girls find the strength to go without food? Never did find that answer to that but aaaanyway, at least with this cleanse it comes with vitamins to keep your body from starving itself and in the process flushes out years and years of bad toxins.

    I am not really doing this cleanse for external reasons (sure it’ll be nice to slim down for the Vegas pools ;) ) butttt I am more so doing this cleanse because A. I have 0 will power or self discipline and I need to conquer that, and B. it’s healthy to clean out your body every so often right?

    I love a good butt workout and thanks to Tony Cress, my new favorite butt workout has got to be squat jumps. I had heard of them before, but never tried them out. I was always worried about looking like a weirdo at the gym, but what is great about these, is that you can totally do them at home and feel an instant workout without looking weird at the gym. I do just 10 and feel the burn instantly. So, need a quick at home butt and thigh workout? Try squat jumps!


    Start with 10, take a 30 second break and try 10 more!

    • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, arms at sides.
    • Start by doing a regular squat and then jump up as explosively as you can when you rise up reaching for the ceiling.
    • When you land, lower your body back into the squat position to complete one rep.
    • Do two sets of 10 reps.
    • Tip: Use your whole foot to jump, not just your toes, and try not to let your shoulders lean out beyond your knees as this can strain and injure your back.

    I decided I need to kick my fitness up a notch, and what better way to mix it up than to go for a nice hike?! While visiting Phoenix, AZ last weekend my friends and I decided to do just that by hiking to the top of Camelback mountain. I figured eh, a 2 mile hike? Nice and easy… or so I thought. Things started off smooth, here I am barely sweating…

    But shortly after this pic, things got a bit crazy. This was notttt just hiking, more so rock climbing. Sure you hike most of the way, but what everyone forgot to mention was that you’re hiking straight up actual rocks. And not just small rocks, HUGE rocks. At some points the mountain is sooo steep they had to install poles to help you up.
