I love, love LC’s beauty blog, always so many cute tips! My latest favorite? This messy braid. Now look a little closer and you’ll see it’s actually a bit different than a normal braid. Her secret trick?

Well, in a normal braid there are 3 strands. For this funky braid you take the normal 3 sections and braid one of the strands. Once that is braided, pull the braid apart a bit so it’s loose and messy and then proceed to braid the other two pieces into that as you would a normal braid. That’s it! A fun twist on your basic braid :)

The Seasons have changed which for us girls means fun new hair styles to play around with!  I never follow strict trend rules as you know, but it is fun to see what trends are popular with each new Season, and then to choose the ones I like. Good news is, almost all the Fall 2011 hair trends are super cute, fun & easy to re-create with your own personal touch. So here we go…

    Hottest 2011 Fall Hair Trends

    1. Braids

There is nothing more practical, romantic and easy-to-do than your classic braid. This year, many fashion designers have used various kinds of braids in their fashion shows, so it’s safe to say braids will be big this Fall/Winter. There are so many styles to play around with, get creative! Ribbons, bows, headbands, clips… Simple braids, twin braids, milkmaid braids, loose braids, side braids and side-swept braided hairstyles will all be big this Fall/Winter 2011-2012.

    2. Bangs

Bangs are always in style because I have them of course ;) but this Fall/Winter 2011-2012 they are making a strong comeback. If you have been thinking about bangs, Winter months are the best time for them as they don’t sweat to your forehead like they do in Summer.

    3. Center & Deep Side Parts

I definitely have to be in the mood for a center part so if you’re anything like me, now is the time to test this trend out. I am always a bit skeptical about how it looks on some faces but what better time to try it than when it’s in style? Another hot part to try out is a personal favorite, the deep side part.

    4. Messy low side buns

As seen on numerous Chanel models during Fashion Week, the low messy bun is back.

    5. Shaggy Short Cuts

I love love funky short haircuts. A few years back I chopped all my hair off into a similar cut. A lot of people said they liked it better? Perhaps a cut is in my Fall future? Doubt it, I love rollin on 22′s. How cute is she though? I love this cut and even the color. So very Fall.

“I call this haircut a ‘shab,’” says hairstylist Giannandrea, who created this look for the star. “It’s a cross between a bob and a shag.” The hair is cut above the shoulders, and then razored from back to front at a slight angle. “This is the kind of style that comes to life with the styling.”

    6. Punk Rock Crop

This hairstyle is so cute I wish I had the guts to try it? A short on the sides, long on the top punk rock crop cut.

Color wise, this Season you will see very natural hair colors. Chunky highlights are out, and solid, warmer hair colors are in. Think deep reds, rich browns and warm tones of blonde. Key word: Warm.

    Happy Hair-cutting/ coloring!

Officially growing my bangs out. It’s funny how your style changes over time. I’ve had bangs forever and ever but I’ve just grown tired of them. Kinda like men… my bangs always let me down, they ruin every cute picture, they’re never what I want them to be, and they’re more work than they’re even worth.

    So bangs… be gone.

Gotta be out the door but your hair’s lookin a dirty mess? Have no fear, Big Sexy Dry Shampoo is here! I am not sure how I survived for soooo long without this product because it is for sure one of my top 10 faves of all time! Sooooo helpful for those days where your hair could use a wash, but you’re really just not in the mood to take on that chore.

I wash my hair every 2-3 days, so on day 3 Big Sexy Hair Dry Shampoo is my best friend. So long hats, hello dry shampoo! The product goes on like a hairspray and is designed to absorb extra oil that accumulates in your hair on those days you can’t get to washin.

How it works: Spray on roots or anywhere else that appears dull or dirty. Leave product on for 2 minutes and then brush out. Bam, volumized, clean hair!

Reasons I love Big Sexy Hair Dry Shampoo:

    * Perfect for traveling or days where you have no time to wash your hair.

    * Goes on clear, not white!

    * Comes in a cute travel size, however I love it so much next time I will supersize it.

    * Volumizes better than any shampoo or product I’ve used before. It leaves your hair so dry that it holds teasing even better.

I really did feel like I had just washed my hair in diamonds and pearls after using it, so S Factor’s mission was accomplished! I loveeee my new shampoo!

What’s also nice about this line is it’s Sulfate-Free which means it won’t fade your color, as well as contains some of the worlds most prestigious ingredients, Diamond Dust, Cashmere and Crushed Pearls which create a multi-dimensional shimmer adding depth and richness to your color while protecting and conditioning your hair.

Favorite Parts of the Diamond Dreams line:

Mila Kunis isn’t my favorite actress ever since she played the evil girl in Black Swan, however… I am lovin her look at this year’s SAG Awards. I found some tips on how to create the look on your own, I think it’s such a cute look for upcoming Valentine’s Day dates ;)

    How to Get Mila’s Hair

To get Mila’s glamazon waves, celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak applied Tresemmé 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse to Mila’s wet hair. After parting it slightly off-center, she then blew it dry with a medium-sized round brush.

Next, Roszak sectioned off the hair, and used a one-inch barrel curling iron. When finished, she broke up the curls with her fingertips to create those stunning, effortless waves.

Lastly, Mila’s hair was sprayed all over with Tresemmé Tres Two Extra Hold Hair Spray to ensure that her chic style would last throughout the night.

    For Mila’s Make Up

Lancôme makeup artist Tracey Levy was inspired to give her a dramatic look that would complement her amazing red gown:

Face: Levy started by using Teint Miracle Lit-from-Within Makeup to create a flawless base, then swept Blush Subtil in Sheer Amourose on the apples of Mila’s cheeks for a fresh, rosy glow.

Eyes: Mila’s eyes were the focal point of the look — and Levy made sure they stood out by layering two different shadows. She applied both Color Design 5 Pan Palette in Midnight Rush and Color Design Eye Shadow in Volcano to Mila’s lid for a smoky effect, and then lined both her top and bottom rims with Le Crayon Khôl EyeLiner in Black.

For lush lashes, Levy followed up with two coats of Hypnôse Drama Mascara in Excessive Black.

Lips: Levy applied L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Rich Cashmere and La Laque Fever Lipshine in Hotness.

No, it’s not February yet, but this just means you have all of January to perfect these flowy, fun, flirty hairstyles before Valentine’s Day! I think every day in February should be Valentine’s Day. So here are 30 hairstyles, one for each day in February for you to try out ;)  30 eh, that seems like a lot, how about 5 instead?

Here are my top 5 flirty V-day styles, as well as a few tips on how to achieve them!

**For all styles, make sure you use a good root boost before you blow-dry your hair to get MAXIMUM volume! Sressed about not having long or thick hair for these looks? Clip in or permanent extensions can help!

    Style: Voluminous, smaller, tight curls!

Hair cut needed: Longer bangs, thick hair, layers.

    * Section off your hair the way you would normally curl it, and use a 1 inch iron to curl your entire head.

    * The tip to these super curly curls, is to curl the 4 inches from the root, all the way to the bottom. Leave no tip out.

    * Once your entire head is curled, tease curls a bit for a messier look, and spray!

Style: Romantic curls with hair pinned back- Less volume needed here, no ratting.

Hair cut needed: No bangs, long hair, minimal layers.

    * Use a larger curling iron and a bit bigger of sections. I would use a 1.75 iron and 1 inch sections.

    * Curl entire head, 2 inches from root, and leave out 1/2 an inch on the tip. Do not curl all the way down.

    * Section off 1inch around your face to pull back and bobby pin.
