Hi, I’m Cathleen Galicinao. I’m 24 years old. I was born and raised in the Central Coast in the vineyards and beaches of Santa Maria, California. I currently live in Santa Monica. I definitely need my coastal surroundings.

My hobbies include running (in which I’m training for a half-marathon in SF in July), tennis, golfing, hiking, yoga (as you can see I love the outdoors.) I also enjoy wine-tasting, rodeo, pageants (in which I participated in)and the simple things in life (my hometown has this effect in me).

I like shooting guns at the shooting range of course or up in the mountains. I someday want to get my motorcycle license and ride a hot pink Harley. I play the piano, bandoria (a pacific islander miniature guitar), and trumpet (believe or not, I was in the band). I just started painting, mostly oil painting and water colors in abstract and still. I enjoy interior design and event-planning in which I’ve produced a few events.

I also enjoy cooking dinner and hosting spectacular dinner parties. On the weekends, I LOVE to get all dolled up and go out, I’m pretty girly when it comes to fashion. Whether it’s dinner and wine at a nice restaurant, or a burger and a beer at joint,  I’m happy as long as I’m in good company with GOOD people.

I love to go dancing and dance all night long to house/techno music or indie mash-ups. I love going to live shows and just listening to that sound of the electric guitar and the beat on the drums gets me excited! I’m pretty much a well-rounded person and pretty much have things in common with any type of person.

I believe the best method for guys to approach me is JUST BE YOURSELF! It’s as simple as that! No mumbo jumbo, I drive a Maserati, I know so and so and this producer and that actor, I play for the Chargers/Lakers/Dodgers nonsense, I have a yacht…yada yada yada, just cut the crap out! Just be a gentleman introduce yourself, shake my hand, offer me a drink, amuse me with a joke about a current event or something and just be NORMAL. I believe I can read people well, so I’ll know if we have chemistry or not and what kind of character the person have.

The kind of guys , I like to date are guys who are educated, INTELLIGENT, have goals and motivation, and are already successful because of these qualities. Chivalrous but not overboard, and know what they want in life. Most importantly, they must be down-to-earth, and modest. Hey if they play the guitar that’s a plus too, but not a necessity.

I don’t really have a type when it comes to appearances because the personality is what creates their exterior presence. I don’t want to date guys who are the opposite of what I described above. In addition, I don’t like douche bags b/c they think they’re too cool for school, insecure guys, and faux hawk-tattooed t-shirt wearing guys or the metro-sexuals (they don’t have any business getting manicures or highlights..haha)

My ideal date would be a nice dinner (it’s important that the first date is held at a nice restaurant-first impressions are lasting), wine of course, a good conversation (this is really important) and maybe an activity such as sailing, bowling, board games, whatever! No roses, I hate roses, but rather a single stemmed flower.

The first thing I notice about a guy is their EYES!!! I love dramatic intense eyes as well as puppy dog eyes. The worst pick up line ever is “you look familiar” UGH.

My plans for Friday night is dinner at Spanish Kitchen in West Hollywood, the going out to a lounge or club to listen to some good music(TBD)either in Beverly Hills or Hollywood. Also, I have to train for my marathon in the AM on Saturday, cook dinner Sat evening and out to Hollywood on Sat night. Sun.-I’m checking out St. Monica’s Catholic Church down the street from my house, then brunch at the Eggery on Main St. (Santa Monica), and tennis afterward. Then wind down to a movie and wine Sunday night or go see an early comedy show at the Laugh Factory in the evening b/c I want to be refreshed for work on Monday.

If I’m not at the beach I’m probably having brunch with the gals and at night if I go out, the girls usually drag me downtown (which I still LOVE to do every so often) but I prefer the crowds in North Park and places more low key. Although nothing is more satisfying than a night out dancing with my best gals.

What the best method for guys approaching you is? Honesty. If your interested, ask if I’d like to have a drink with you. If I’m into it I will, and if I’m not you’ll definitely know.

What kind of guys you like to date? I like them rugged with tattoos please. I’m totally into having style but if you spend more time getting ready than me peace out.

What you DON’T like to date? Guys who think they are too cool. It’s completely obvious when you try to hard to impress us girls, we just want to know YOU.

Your ideal date? A picnic on the beach with Wine or champagne and cheese. Nothing is better!

Your plans this weekend? Moving houses unfortunatly And working my ass out to get ready for vegas on the 4th.

What you notice first about a guy? Confidence. I like a guy who is comfortable in their skin, but not cocky.

Worst pick up line youve got? Guys always tell me I look like Kelly from Saved by the bell and make cheesy comments about being Zack Morris.

Places you hangout on weekends? My living room mostly, I’m an 80 year old in a much younger body. Asleep by 8 or 9pm during the week and 10pm on weekends. It’s super rare for me to go out…it has be an occasion. no wonder I’m single!  I’m a freakin granny.

What is the best method for guys approaching you? Be funny and witty and not a d-bag

What kind of guys you like to date? Intelligent, funny, dreamy, confident boys who have their own friends and own interests and don’t mind that I love love love my alone time and my time with my girls and my family.

What you DON’T like to date? Immature, stupid, clingy, insecure d-bags who go out and get hammered every weekend and most week nights.  I don’t want to spend every second together.  I don’t want to explain that my guys friends are just that – friends.  I don’t want you in my space all the time.  I don’t want to talk on the phone for hours.  I don’t want to have to reassure you that I like you…

Your ideal date? Anything outside…a hike, a walk, picnic, amusement park.  NO movies!

Your plans this weekend?  Dating like it’s my job, gym, reading, hanging out with my girls and complaining about boys.
