Nail polish lovers get excited, here is a new fab polish to add to your list! Available at any local drug store, Sally Hansen’s Complete Nail Salon Manicure, is a must have! I have a seriousssss nail polish problem, (I must change my nail color at least once a week) so it’s super annoying having to go to the nail salon everyyyy single time. Solution? Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure.

    Pros of this polish:

    1. 42 cute, bright colors to choose from. Click here to view colors.

    2. The polish has 5 in 1 features which is pretty much the best part of it all. A growth treatment, a nail strengthener, a base coat, color, a top coat, and on top of all that it’s quick drying.

    3. Lasted about 8 days with no chips!

Overall a great polish to pick up, reliable and so many cute colors! You save tons of money too by not having to visit a salon and you avoid buying all the separate ingredients. Top coat, base, etc…

To purchase click here or like I said, it’s available at almost any drug store. Target, Walmart, CVS, etc…

Not my grown out nails, stock picture ;)

So excited, the only reality tv star I ever liked, Shayne Lamas, has started her own website/blog and it’s very similar to mine, personal rants and raves, but mostly focused around fashion items she loves! Her and I have a pretty similar style, girly, annoying, and over the top. Always has perfect hair and make up and doesn’t leave home without at least one thing sparkling. I am excited to follow her new blog. She is a little less reserved when blogging than I am, so it makes for a fun read that’s for sure, no holding back.

I remember when I first saw Shayne on the Bachelor, she was the only cute one with style. Everyone else was a boring light haired brunette in maroon floor length sparkle gowns, while she wore flirty little mini dresses and flowers in her hair. I only watched the show to check up on her cute fashions from time to time, and even spent an entire night searching for a pair of shades she wore in one episode. I took my sun-glass obsession to a crazy level and sent her a Myspace message asking what brand they were and went on to purchase them after she replied to me telling me they were her favorite by Marc Jacobs! Shayne stalker for sure :)

Anyway, she is the cutest thing ever, perfect princess hair and always sporting a different colored nail polish like me. (Hot pink is one of her favorites as well) She talks about interesting, girly things so if you want a similar blog to follow, check hers out! She also has the cuteeeeest shoe line on it’s way out, look out for that. Literally every shoe is the cutest thing ever!

I get so many emails asking me what to wear to certain events that I decided I’m going to start making a new section… W2W2… What to wear to: and then you can fill in the blank. Usually I reply personally to emails, but why not make posts about them for everyone to read?

Anyway, to email me a W2W2 question please email me: amandajo@helloamanda.com I’ll do my best to post something helpful.

    The first W2W2 email:

    Hi Amanda,

I love your website and your fashion sense, so I’m hoping you can help me!  On August 13th, I am going to the Lady Gaga concert here at the MGM in Las Vegas, where I live.  I am super excited but have no idea what to wear.  I am just a normal girl, I don’t want to wear anything too crazy, but it is Gaga!  Do you have any ideas?  I am desperate!  I am going with my boyfriend and he is going to wear a dark shirt, black blazer, and dark jeans if that helps. Thanks a million! :) :)

W2W2 response: Ok so after reading this email I instantly pictured a super tight high waisted leathery skirt and some killer spike heels or ankle booties. Or possibly a skin tight mini dress. Either way your only option is for something that shows some skin and that is tight. I personally wouldn’t take it too Gaga crazy but that’s just my style. It could be fun to really max out the Gaga style for her show. Here are a few key pieces that I think would make the perfect Gaga concert outfit, combine as you wish!

Dress options: Something tight, must be tightttttt. Something with pouffy costume-y shoulders or details, something mesh or see through, stripes, abstract designs, bright colors…

    Blush with Adventure Dress $68.00

Appeal to the Ref Dress $26.00

Dance Remix Dress in Black $38.00

Finally, a cute energy drink just for girls! Get excited girls, this no carb, no sugar drink actually tastes pretty good!

her, or “Healthy. Energy. Revitalizer” is the first active lifestyle beverage formulated with us girls in mind. her (yes it’s supposed to be lowercase ;) ) delivers a fresh, clean, and great tasting alternative to the enhanced waters and energy drinks on the market. her won’t make you “crash” or give you the “jitters”. The her formula is designed to give you the boost you need without over doing it.

I would describe the taste to be a pink lemonade flavor mixed with a dash of squirt. It’s pretty light and gives you the perfect amount of pep to get you through the low points of your day. It also is a great mixer when looking for low calorie cocktail drinks! For some fun recipes click here, and for the nutritional facts click here.

To try it out for yourself visit their website to purchase!

Another plus of “her” is that when I went to their website, I learned that Ashley, one of my sorority sisters from SDSU, is one of their models!

Ok, I’ve had enough of flip flop and sandal season and it’s only July? Great… I’m beyond ready for boots to be back! I suppose black boots must be put on hold for cooler months, but lighter boots? Bring ‘em on! I love love boots so here are a few of my favorite Summer-ish boots. We have been having some chilly days and nights in San Diego so why not keep these on call just in case the weather permits?

Qupid Tabu Herringbone Cuff Boot -$35.00

How cute are these!? Love the color and height. Perfect for a Summery date night or cool daytime event. What makes them even cooler is they can be folded down and turned into a cuff boot! 2 in 1? Love it.

Steve Madden Chelseey Slate Suede and Patent Bootie- $129.00

Steve Madden Trumpit Lace Up Bootie- $83.00

I know, I know, I’m such a sucker for The Kardsahian’s, but this time being a sucker paid off because after testing out their new skin care line, Perfect Skin, I’m obsessed! I first heard about this line through the Kardashian’s Twitter accounts, as well as on their t.v. infomercial, it left me wondering hmm, is this product legit? Or just another product the girls were endorsing to beef up their bank accounts? Well, the verdict is in and so far it’s super legit!

I think my favorite part of the entire skin care line is the fact that it’s an organized stepped process. Being the typical girly girl I loveeee all beauty processes, they’re so much fun to do before bed ;) You have two options, the 3 piece or 5 piece kit. For $29.95, The 3 piece Kardashian Perfect Skin Care line comes with a facial cleanser, a spray toner, a hydrating face cream and a few reusable big sponges to use with the cleanser. If you want the complete 5 piece kit, you get everything the 3 piece comes with plus a 30 min face mask and a firming under eye cream for $39.90. The entire kit is super easy to follow, and they’re the perfect size for girls on the go like me, very easy to travel with. As far as the actual products go?

The face wash smells deliciousssss, my comparison? An Orange Dream Machine smoothie from Jamba Juice, yum ;) Tropical orange paradise. I also love it because it totally removes make up unlike some face washes and doesn’t dry my face out. The toning spray is sooo refreshing I want to use it over and over throughout the day. My only criticism? The toner goes much faster than the other products, it could be a bit bigger to last more evenly. Maybe I just use too much? Can’t help it ;) The under eye cream feels a bit tingly when you use it, but in a good way. You can tell it’s eating away at your wrinkles! And the moisturizing face cream is very smooth and hydrates your skin well! I hope to notice results soon. Do I look like Kim yet?

I just received the package yesterday so I haven’t been able to see the overall results yet but I figured I’d update with pictures after I get the full effects of this line.

My skin is pretty dry, so I am hoping this line will help hydrate my skin. I also enjoy packing on make up and sunless tanners, so I need a skin care line to keep off the extra debris I subject myself to, and to keep my clogged, tanned pores spic ‘n span ;)

The Perfect Skin line claims to be designed for all types of skin, dry, oily and combination. I can only vouch for us dry skinned peeps so follow my Perfect Skin journey! For more info or to try yourself visit their site here or stay tuned for a full write up soon!

While browing the net for new bangles earlier, I came across sooo many cute pink, girly, hearty, annoying princess-y things, I had to make a little blog collage of all my favorite fancy finds! For some reason anything hot pink, sparkley and in the shape of a heart makes me oh soooo happy :)  Click each item to purchase or learn more!

Betsey Johnson ‘Varsity Crush’ Tiara Ring- $45.00

Are you kidding? I want this surgically embedded into my finger! Hot-pink hearts and sparkling stones make up a handcrafted ring in the shape of a charming tiara. Must have item for all the annoying girls like me who think they’re princesses.

Hello Cutie Purse in Pink- $26.00 (Only 1 left!)

The cuteness factor on the new Hello Cutie Purse is definitely off the charts. Adorable pink faux-leather bag has the biggest and best bow you’ve ever seen. Carry this little ditty from pink corded shoulder strap, or tote along happily by shorter golden chain. Both are detachable, take your pick!

Betsey Johnson ‘Betsey’s Soiree’ Sequined Crossbody Clutch- $98.00

Shimmering sequins can be flipped to reveal an occasional flash of iridescent silver, embellishing a flap clutch fronted with an angled bow for a boldly feminine look. A removable drop-in chain strap provides a convenient carrying option.

Just in time for Memorial Day… PINK Polka Dot nails! Pretty annoying I know but I love them. Today at the nail shop I couldn’t decide on a color… last time was tropical punch, the time before that hot purple, but I’ve been pretty bored with solid colored nails lately so now what? While sitting in the pedicure chair pondering a cute new nail idea, I saw the cutest little girl next to me sporting a Hello Kitty headband and pink polka dot nails, I fell in love. I jacked her swag and got twin nails and toes. She was 4.

The lady next to me said awww you got the same nails as my daughter. HAkjashdksajd kind of embarrassing, but whatever. I think these nails are perfect for Spring or Summer so hurry and try ‘em out while the season still supports them. I swear little kids have the best style sometimes :)
