I was listening to the radio this morning and they were talking about cool dining places in San Diego to try out, and one they mentioned was this place called Nature’s Ambrosia in Point Loma. So, what is it?

Nature’s Ambrosia is an ALL fruit restaurant! That’s right, they ONLY serve fruit! What is also cool about this place?

They use no preservatives, they’re Gluten free, and use no Frozen Fruits, All Natural Ingredients.  Nature’s Ambrosia has smoothies, slushies, shakes, juices, fruit bowls, fruit tacos (fruit wrapped in a tortilla) and healthy dessert cups with your choices of strawberries, bananas, mangoes, pineapple, oranges, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, honeydew, cantaloupe, watermelon, peanut butter, chocolate, coconut.  They also have milk, soy milk, ginger, protein (soy, rice and/or whey/wheat & egg) and toppings- almonds, raisins, peanuts, choc chips, coconut flakes and granola.

Yum! I loveeee places like this! Check it out!

I had the best weekend ever! I was supposed to go to the river but things got messed up and I am so glad! Meggan and I had so much fun city hopping all over Southern Cali. Meggan is one of my best girl friends but she lives in San Francisco so I don’t get to see her as often as I want to. She is going to Dental school up there so she is one smart cookie! The great thing about Meggan is shes still a blast to be around. The first night Meggan arrived we went to dinner Downtown at Nobu which is inside the Hard Rock Hotel. You definitely have to check it out if you are ever in town! They of course have Nobu’s all over the US but this location is super fun! We saw a few Chargers, they frequent here often according to staff. Anytime celebs are in town they usually hit up this spot. Nobu is known for their yummy sushi and cool decor. Meggan and I have a friend who works there who totally made sure we had an awesome time, and we did :) We had chicken skewers (not the best errr) veggie rolls, and steamed veggies. Meggan and I are both supppper plain eaters so I love dinners with her. We had a blast at dinner so after we hit up some of the Hard Rock bars. We visited the other Megan and Erin, two of my other good friends who work there. It is nice knowing everyone out makes life so easy. Overall a fabulous start to the longggggg weekend ahead!

Definitely a great date location too!

People keep emailing me asking about places to take people on dates Downtown. Here are a few suggestions, in no particular order:

    1. The W Hotel- I love the W and the one in San Diego is always a good time. Never too crowded and isn’t too pricey. They have a restaurant inside the hotel also, called Rice that is super yummy!

What makes this spot cool? I love the rooftop bar with an actual sand floor, also has awesome views of the city!

I am not sure how many readers I have in San Francisco, but I wanted to talk about how much fun Mas Sake on Lombard is. I love places that have unique rolls and this place had tons to choose from. I had never seen a Chicken teriyaki roll so I tried it…it was soooo good! Cooked chicken, avocado and rice. It also had a great vibe, it was a mix between a small club and a sushi restaurant. They have a DJ, it’s pretty dark inside, and of course it was full of younger people just hanging out. Lots of guys ;) It is more of a group hangout than a first date location though. Too loud to go with someone you don’t know very well yet because it is hard to talk.

    On our way!

It was fun to just sit and have dinner and drink sake before going out! Good starting spot in San Francisco. If you visit there or live there check it out!

Yum! I love Sushi, well… people tell me I don’t even eat sushi, but I still think I do. I refuse to eat any raw fish so I always get veggie. That still counts right!? If its on the menu of a sushi place, then I eat sushi. My favorite places to eat sushi are of course RA downtown and now Harney sushi. I have had it before but just went again the other day, their Hippie Roll is soooo good. Not only do they have great sushi, but they have a great atmosphere. Harney Sushi

I strongly suggest making reservations though, because its not that large of venue. They also have a delicious cocktail called the Pussycat, it is champagne, soju (Korean vodka), cran and watermelon juice. So good. Harney SushiThey also have the cutest outdoor patio which is perfect for Summer nights. Next time you need an awesome date location check it out! Harney Sushi

So… this weekend, on of the girls from my sorority was in town so all my girlfriends decided to take her out and show her a fun time. They all live in PB, so….yeah I was stuck going there. We started off at this crazy little restaurant called Costa Brava in PB. It is crazy how many places exist that after 25 years of living here, I have never heard of. This was one place I have never even heard of, so I was excited to try it out! It is a Spanish Tapas bar so all the portions are about 7 bucks and super tiny. I had no idea how tiny they were, because when I ordered a side of veggies it came with literally 2 carrots, 2 broccolis and 4 zucchinis. I looked at it so confused and so sad it was so small :( I should have taken a picture of it.
