Looking for a great new date or dinner location in Las Vegas? Found the yummiest new restaurant everyone MUST try!

Oh my gossssh get excited, I found the yummiest new place to eat if you’re in Las Vegas! Botero is located inside the Encore Hotel, Wynn’s sister hotel, and is hands down one of the top 5 best places I have ever eaten. I don’t know where to evennn begin telling you how much I love it… from the decor to the food, everything was amazing. Just another reason why Wynn & Encore are my favorite hotels!

We initially wanted to try out the SW Steakhouse but due to Cinco De Mayo madness they were booked, good thing because next up was Botero. Botero overlooks the XS Nightclub and pool area at Encore so you can eat either a Summery poolside lunch or an indoor dinner. The interior is circular, similar to the layout of XS. Picture giant pillars covered in white, diamond-quilted leather, and as the restaurant centerpiece? A gigantic glossy, black seated lady sculpture inspired by Colombian Artist Fernando Botero. Overall, Botero has a super modern yet fun ambiance suitable for all ages and personalities Now onto the yummy part, the food… I have never been so indecisive when ordering before, the menu was amazing! Veggies, chicken, fish, mac and cheese, how could I ever choose? I decided not to be totally fat and started off with their parmesan, asparagus, pistachio salad which was great. Oh wait then we ordered the mushroom ravioli so I suppose I wasn’t all that healthy ;/ The ravioli were delicious, small portion but delicious, wasn’t too mushroomy at all. Great appetizer to share.

For the main course we shared the Halibut. I didn’t want to over eat so we ordered a bunch of sides and split the halibut. The halibut comes poached but that sounded weird so we ordered it blackened. The chef had no problem preparing it that way for us which was nice. Accommodating staff? How odd? I definitely recommend the halibut blackened, it was soooo delicious. A bit spicy but cooked to perfection. Best halibut I have had in years, maybe even forever?

For sides we ordered broccoli which had chopped garlic and tomato pieces mixed in, and also the jalapeno carrots. Those were a bit soft, but amazing flavor. I love spicy food! Everything was so so good. Curious about who is behind the food? Botero is run by Chef Mark LoRusso, formerly of Wynn Las Vegas’ Tableau.

Cocktail wise I decided to order a margarita because after all, it was Cinco de Mayo. I didn’t think it would be good considering we were at a fancy steakhouse, but it was delicious! I tweeted to Wynn about loving Botero and they replied back that I had to try the Seated Lady cocktail, one of their signature champagne cocktails. Now I’ll have to go back just to try it out, sounds delish!

Botero definitely is a place to go for any occasion, a date, girls night out, poolside lunch… some of the best food ever, amazing decor, great staff, and delicious cocktails, what more could you need?

To check out Botero’s website please click here.

Ahhh my two favorite things combined into ONE! Hello Kitty Pink Bubbly Champagne!?!?!?!!!!

I wonder how many bottles of this I will have on my doorstep when I finally get home tomorrow? I think I received about hmm, 10 emails today of people, some of whom I know, many of which I don’t… all telling me about the Hello Kitty pagneeeee. Are you kidding? Cutest idea everrrr and I am pissed I didn’t think of it myself. I think all the clubs should carry this champagne and wine, I would surely buy it errrrtime.

LA Weekly & Perez Hilton posted about this, so I am sure 99% of the world already knows about it, but I had to post it too considering two of my all time favorite things are Hello Kitty and yes, champagne. Created by an Italian outfit, four varieties of HK wine will become available in the US during next few months and are even for sale now through a few small sites if you click here. The wines & champagnes are super affordable too, ranging anywhere from $19.99 to $29.99, the 4 types are:

Hello Kitty Sparkling Brut Rosé: “Has a frothy mousse as well as a pretty nose of rose petal and red currant scents,” says HelloKittyWine.com.

Hello Kitty Sparkling “Sweet Pink”: “Sports a pale pink hue and has very delicate bubbles.”

Hello Kitty Angel White: “A fresh, very “blanc” white wine.”

Hello Kitty Devil Red: “A classically rendered Pinot Noir that presents a seductive bouquet of wild flowers and forest aromas.”

YUM yum, I will take 5 bottles of the Sparkling Brut Rose & 5 more of the Sweet Pink!

Sidebar, where you wanna be on a Wednesday night here in San Diego! Always a blast :) Click for a few pics!

Sidebar, located Downtown San Diego, has been around for a hot minute or two, but with its recent remodel has definitely upgrade itself. I never was a huge fan of the place, but they did a few things right, hired hotter staff (Brookie & Saddaf to name a few ) and remodeled the entire inside. Last night I rolled out with Erin who works at Hard Rock here, we always have the BEST time. We really do cause so much trouble together but I like it.

Sidebar is known for being a blast on Wednesday nights, and to be honest, the only place worth getting dolled up for on a random week night here in SD. So if you are in town, looking for the best place to hit up on a Wednesday, check it out you will have a great time guaranteed.

My only complaint was it was FREEZING outside but roasting inside. I loveeee heat but it was a bit too hot so bring something warm for outside but removable inside! It felt like a Summer day in there so my long sleeves were a nightmare. Oh another bonus, how could I possibly forget… CIROS’ is attached to this place. Ciro’s for those of you who don’t know is the yumyumuyummiest pizza in San Diego. I am not sure who Erin’s friend was that took us there but he got us a whole pizza hahaha we were in fat girl heaven.

Oh and the Chargers were there too poppin bottles like there was no tomorrow, in case you needed another reason why Sidebar is so kewl hey at least they were out on a Wednesday and not a Saturday right? Overall a fab night!

Visit their site for more info! www.sidebar.com

Hungover? Peep the do's and don'ts of hangovers. Should you eat? Should you sweat it out? Should you rest?

I love reading men’s websites, it’s probably the same as when some men read girl magazines, or my site alskdjaskjdasd. Or maybe I am just a man. Who knows but I do. I usually don’t copy and paste articles but I liked this one so I am going to ;P

Think you know what is best for a hangover? Think again!!!

It’s the morning after a wild night out… you’re in excruciating pain. You feel sick to your stomach, your head hurts so much it hurts to even think about thinking, and you’re starting to regret those parts of the evening you can actually remember. Unfortunately, no magic pill can snap you out of your stupor, but there are a few things you can do to make the day a little easier on yourself. Here, we debunk commonly dispensed wisdom and show you the true hangover dos and don’ts.

Don’t – Take acetaminophen

More commonly known as Tylenol than by its generic name, acetaminophen can wreak havoc on your liver if ingested while intoxicated. The reason is that when your liver is busy metabolizing alcohol, it processes the painkiller differently than it otherwise would, resulting in toxic compounds that can cause liver inflammation and even permanent damage.

Do – Take ibuprofen

Set your alarm a little early and take an ibuprofen such as Advil in the morning one hour before you need to be a functional human being. Use this remedy in dire emergencies only, like when you’re meeting your new girlfriend’s parents for the first time at brunch and you have a splitting headache.

Don’t — Pound caffeine

Drinking shot after shot of espresso will not sober you up, nor will it get rid of your hangover. In fact, caffeine can work as a diuretic, potentially making you feel worse as a result of being further dehydrated.

Do – Have one gentle caffeinated beverage

While drinking excessive amounts of coffee or caffeinated energy drinks won’t do much to improve your sorry state, a single caffeinated beverage can help, particularly if you didn’t get enough sleep, by giving you an energy boost and improving mental alertness. Try black tea or one cup of good quality coffee and make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Don’t – Eat sausages and bacon

Though a greasy fry-up that includes sausages and bacon is often touted as the mother of all hangover cures, steer clear of this dietary disaster when you’re feeling worse for wear as a result of imbibing too much alcohol. While fatty foods will temporarily distract your stomach, you’re not really providing your body with the nutrients it craves after a heavy night out.

Do – Eat eggs

Swap your fry-up for hard-boiled or poached eggs. Eggs contain cysteine, a substance that can help break down acetaldehyde, a toxin associated with alcohol metabolism and hangovers.

Click to read all the DO’s and DON’Ts of Hangover cures!

Don’t – Exercise

If you’ve really tied one on the night before, a hard workout isn’t the best idea. Alcohol is a diuretic, meaning that in large quantities, it causes you to lose water and become dehydrated. A major sweat session can result in more dehydration and is therefore not a good idea.

Do – Shower and relax

A shower will raise your temperature, prepping your body for sleep so you can bypass the most painful part of your day. On the flip side, a cold shower will make you feel more alert. To encourage additional relaxation or to invigorate your mind and body if you’ve got a big day ahead of you, try a body wash like one from Axe’s new Fixer line, which features specially formulated products to jump-start your day or speed your recovery.

Don’t – Eat French fries and hash browns

In much the same way that a plateful of sausages and bacon won’t provide you with the relief you seek, neither will other calorie-laden options such as French fries and hash browns. Though you may temporarily feel better after eating these carbohydrate-rich snacks thanks to the rush of feel-good neurotransmitters they help release in your brain, you may be in for tummy troubles a few hours down the line.

Do – Eat crackers

Bland foods including plain toast or lightly salted crackers will raise low blood-sugar levels and alleviate feelings of nausea, all without irritating your stomach the way fatty fried foods can. Additionally, to replenish potassium levels, eat fresh fruit like bananas.

Don’t – Do hair of the dog

Though it’s a tempting option because it will temporarily make you feel as good as new again, hair of the dog will only prolong your hangover. Initially, because the nastiest part of a hangover is when your blood-alcohol level reaches zero, having another drink will blunt your withdrawal symptoms. In the long run, however, consuming more alcohol will only ensure that you delay the worst to come rather than avoid it altogether.

Do – Drink plenty of other fluids

Mineral water is your best bet to rehydrate yourself after a night on the tiles. As well, reach for sports drinks (to replace lost electrolytes), low-acid orange juice (to replenish your vitamin C levels) and natural fruit juices (to keep your blood sugar in check).

Don’t – Eat before you go to bed

It’s a myth that filling up before bed will “soak up” the alcohol in your stomach. Food has to already be in your digestive system to slow the absorption of alcohol into your bloodstream, so make sure you fuel up before heading out. Picks with a lot of fat, like pizza or steak, that take a long time to digest are your best bet for preventing a hangover later on.

Do – Drink water before going to bed

Overdoing it on the drinking front causes dehydration, so you need to replenish fluids. If you don’t drink water, your body will take what it needs from your vital organs, including your brain, resulting in a throbbing headache the following morning.

Do the right thing…

In the end, the only true cure for a hangover is time, as your body simply has to detox. To prevent yourself from being in this heinous situation in the first place, double-fist it on a big night out, downing one tall glass of water for every alcoholic beverage you imbibe. Your body will thank you the next day, and there will be one less embarrassing photo of you on Facebook.

So I am off to San Francisco for a sorority reunion… about 15 girls from AXO (Alpha Chi Omega) are meeting in San Francisco tonight and then tomorrow taking a limo around Napa to go wine tasting. I have never been, so I am excited! I even coordinated our outfits, everyone is going to wear some form of yellow, cute pics helloooo. Anyway, we are all at the airport and I hate it! People boarding planes are the worst. They walk so slow and take forever to load their bags in the overhead area. I know I am inpatient, but if you have been on a plane before, you should be a bit speedier by now. Who knows maybe it’s their first flight.

Whateverrrr so me Martine, Michelle, Karina and Gibson are all on board, we lucked out and took over 2 rows so we could all be close to one another Our flight was delayed, so were just happy to be on the plane and taking off. Well the time comes where all electronics must be shut off. I am always the one sneaking my phone until the last possible second but this time I was a well behaved flier and shut it off. I decided however to snap a few pics of the girls on the plane but was rudely interrupted by my grey haired neighbor who was not too happy about me using this electronic device. “You knowww you’re not supppposed to be usinnggg electronic devicesss” Yeah thanks lady, I know. I said yeah thanks… aka I’m not listening to you. She goes THANKS. Thanks for what? Thanks for ignoring you? No problem ;P Don’t let that smile fool you, she was mean!

I told her that her telling me that made me want to take 49 more pictures. And I of course did. Such a brat I know. Why do people always tell other people what to do?! I’m pretty sure a digital camera is not what they mean by a device. I mean I know it is one, but they’re more so worried about devices that are sending and requesting data. I am typing on the plane and had to reduce my font to size 8 just so she can’t see what I am typing ha ha…She is totally that old lady who yells at cars to slow down when they fly down her street. She also is the old lady at my apartments who yells at me for doing unsafe maneuvers. Really? An unsafe maneuver? Its an apartment parking lot and I am going 5mph. Either way I guess I am just a rebel and hate being told what to do. Enjoy the pic I took against the old lady’s will.

Woo hoo San Francisco here we come! We are going out downtown tonight and I can’t wait to see the city!

Ps- Having a website is like having a baby, I now travel with my laptop at all times. Speaking of babies there is one on this flight that won’t stop crying and I think it needs a time out in the lavatory
