Another weekend out of town, I really can’t sit still in San Diego for more than a week I am so bored with it lately. The problem with San Diego and anywhere I guess, is once you’ve seen one club, you’ve seen ‘em all. Same faces, same boring nights. Sometimes it’s fun, but mmm lately it’s been more fun to travel around. A few friends and I headed out to Scottsdale to visit a few other friends, which was fun because I hadn’t been to Scottsdale in over a year or so. Scottsdale is funny, the guys there are super weird, I guess they fit the stereotype everyone talks about. They totally think they’re sooooo cool just because they have money or are in the industry, but I that’s everywhere I guess.

We made the best of the weekend of course tho, we actually stayed in Friday night sleepy from travelling, but then spent the following Saturday shopping and exploring the bars. I swear if I day drink, I can nottttt drink at night but somehow I rallied and made it til I thiiiiink 12:30am? My friends tell me I have “Grandma Disease” haha I want to go to sleep every night by 12. Oh well, nothing good can possibly come from being out so late or drinking that much so I like going home early. I am obsessed with washing my face and putting on night creams, I actually get excited to go home and wash off my clown face. Anyway…

We went to some club called PCL it was cool, similar to a Sidebar type of place I guess… my girlfriend knew the owner’s who were super nice and made sure we had a fun night. I finally saw the Dom P glowing bottle, I have no idea when these came out, but I love the bottle it’s so bright and fun!

Sunday we slept in and decided to head home semi early around 2, we ate 58 fattening meals per usual and I paid for it in the gym just now. Overall a quick but fun weekend, Scottsdale is cool but eh not really worth going to unless you have a real reason to :)

A few of you asked about my dress in the pictures, it’s from Bebe of course, my go to dress store in case of an emergency. I packed a suitcase fulllllllll of clothes to last me a month and didn’t even open it. I am over every piece of clothing I own :( I bought this dress on a whim at the mall in Scottsdale, it’s ok, nothing super fab but it worked, I guess. I took the belt off and used one of my own, wasn’t feeling the thin blue one it came with.

    Nautical Stripe Belted Dress $119.00

The red lipstick I wore literally lasted all night. It’s Revlon Colorstay in “Forever Scarlet“. I prepped my lip with the red lip stain, re-coated it with a regular Revlon red lipstick “Really Red” and then finished it off with the ColorStay clear coat. I woke up the next morning with perfectly plump, still verrrrry red lips.

The best part of Arizona is the desert scenery, so pretty, especially during sunset of course.

Ahh another weekend in Vegas has come and gone. This trip had no purpose really, we had been wanting to all go so we finally picked a weekend and just went. We usually fly Southwest but since I waited until the last minute to book it, Southwest flights were like $400 bucks. Vegas is cool and all to me, but not worth a $400 flight for a random weekend. My gf mentioned this Spirit airline and told me to check it out because it was cheaper so I did. Yes flights are cheaper, but you definitely get what you pay for with this nasty little airline.

Long story short, they are the worst airline EVER, ever, everrrrrr and I will never fly with them again. Not worth the saved two cents. Bad/clueless/missing staff, 2 hour delayed flight, strict baggage rules and charges if you go 1 lb over, the seats……. actually……… the entire plane, looked like it was from an airplane junkyard, worn down pleather, andddd they changed the gate on us 4 times! I also told one lady she must have no brain when she told me she didn’t know where our plane was and she replied, “Neither do you.” Oh perfect… apparently their cheap prices leave no extra money to properly train their staff on how to handle aggressive travelers like me. They will not be around much longer, the entire plane was furious, literally everyone yelling. Anyway, moving on…

And now for what you really want to know about… my outfit. Who would have guessed this little gold dress would cause such a stir, especially considering it was from Foreign Exchange at Fashion Valley. The dress is cool and all but to be honest, the necklace is what made it cute to me. Without the bling necklace this dress was super blah.

    LEATHER METALLIC CUTOUT DRESS $69.00

The necklace I wore is the “Amanda” necklace by Shop Belina. My favoriteee necklace, it makes everything cuter.

    Amanda Necklace- $32.00

The shoes were Bebe and they matched the gold perfectly.

    Mila Cutout Leather Sandal $160.00

    Now on sale for $118.00!

And when all 3 are combined… the finish product :)

Overall it was a really fun weekend. We stayed at my favoriteee hotel ever, The Cosmopolitan. On Friday night we went to Marquee and then Saturday night visited my good friend Moose who runs the entertainment at Haze to see Neyo perform. We sipped champagne right next to his table all night and then watched him perform, he’s sooo good live. I am going back next month for sure to see Nelly at the same place, can’t wait! If you stay at Cosmo I do have to insist you order their pizza from room service. They have a pizzeria inside the hotel and it was for sure the best pizza I’ve ever had. We ate it both nights for dinner and breakfast total pigs.

Marquee Nightclub inside the Cosmopolitan Hotel

Chandelier bar inside of the Cosmopolitan Hotel

    Neyo performing at Haze Nightclub

    Until the next adventure… xoxo

I feel like I keep apologizing for going missing, and well, I guess I am back to say sorry yet again. Just when I think my life is calming down it sends me a big fun mess to deal with. I am learning though, that the more messes that come my way, the stronger I become.

Last week my precious Jetta finally gave out on me and I was faced with a big decision… to fix or not to fix the Jetta. My Jetta had the most expensive transmission they made that year so it would be 5k to repair. Considering I’ve had the car 6 years I decided that 5k would be better invested in a new, more reliable car. I debated and debated on what to do, the last thing I wanted to do was make an irrational, impulsive decision… I spent the week borrowing everyone’s cars, annoying my entire family and finally decided to solve the problem, I was going to get a new car if I could find a good deal on one I loved.

My messy situation turned into an amazing situation, as I was reminded yet again, that when you refuse to settle for less, you eventually find exactly what you want. Just like I found with my current job, I found the exact car I wanted after holding off on a few previous finds. I found several cars that were cute but none were exactly what I wanted. Grey interior, different wheels, missing certain features, etc… It’s also crazy how life with throw obsticles in your way to prevent you from these wrong choices, and at the time you don’t understand why life is being so so hard on you, but if you just listen to the warning signs, you will later learn why they were there. Something better was on it’s way.

I tried my best to stay put, I actually did better than I thought considering I stayed in San Diego the entire month of November, butttt I was getting bored so I had to dash off to Vegas for a night and then a few days later to NYC. Sorry for the lack of posts, I am in the air on my way home so they will resume sometime next week!

I hadn’t been to Vegas for over a month now, so I decided to head out there for a night, strictly for fun. I love Vegas so much during Christmas time because all the hotels are decorated so pretty. We stayed at the Wynn, my fave, and it was of course fully decked out. Trees, lights, decorations, loveeee. Even the water show at SW was Christmas themed. We stayed in a really amazing Fairway Villa that over looked the entire Wynn golf course. Definitely have to stay in it if you love golf.

One of my all time favorite places to go for dinner and drinks in Vegas is MIX At THE Hotel. Talk about amazing. This place is a secret gem more people don’t even know exists. One of the best views of Vegas as it sits on the very top of THE Hotel and overlooks all of Vegas. Their food is delicioussssssss and if you don’t want dinner, they have an entire bar area and lounge that is amazing as well. You can sit outside and see the view, they even give you blankets and have heaters out there to make sure you’re never cold… it’s perfect!

After one night of fun in Vegas I came home, packed my bag for NYC and left the next Monday at 6am. It’s weird flying coast to coast in the same day because you leave early in the morning from San Diego but then arrive when it’s dark in NYC. We landed at around 5pm but because of the time zone, it was already dusk.

NYC was strictly a business trip, but we don’t work at night so we did get a bit of personal time in the evenings. The weather was super weird there right now. Rainy the first day, warm the next day, but then freeeeeeeezing the day after. Of course it ran the day I had a million errands to do via foot but it’s ok, I love the rain.

The purpose of the NYC business trip was to attend FFANY, a footwear event that happens a few times a year and to plan an Industry Spring Preview party to display our upcoming shoes. I always wondered at what point stores viewed the products and how the actual purchasing process worked, so this event showed me just that, it’s really interesting to see how the entire process works, I learned so much more about the footwear industry after this event.

Basically, store buyers from all over attend this event to view each company’s shoes. This FFANY was for Spring 2012 so the fashion industry is always getting an early start. We have a huge, fabulous show room on Ave. of the Americas that we share with Beyonce’s Dereon so all the buyers come to our showroom to view 3 of our lines. They schedule appointments and meet with our reps to place their orders. I thought it would be helpful to have live models in styled outfits to match the shoes in the showroom, as well as a Spring Preview party at a local venue so that is what I worked on while in NYC. It was nice to invite buyers and fans out to view the products, and it also was a nice way for us to say thank you to everyone that supports us. We had a hosted bar and appetizers, everyone had fun I know that for sure :) The event was held at The Royalton Hotel, another really cool venue to check out if you’re in the Time Square area. Very cozy with fireplaces, we hung out there all night.

Here is a picture of Valerie & I at the party.

Sorry I have been MIA, literally… But after this weekend I swear I am going to slow down and get back to this site. After a quick stop in Miami 3 weeks ago, I came back home to SD for a few days and then was back off, this time to Cabo. I love Cabo and have been dying to go, so what’s a girl to do when she wants to do something? To do it of course. I barely unpacked from Miami, tossed in a few more items, and then headed out for a Mexican weekend getaway.

September was a perfect time to go, the city was alive but not too crowded. We stayed at The ME Hotel, a Cabo favorite. I love The ME Hotel because it has a super fun pool inside, the infamous Nikki Beach, and it’s the perfect balance of luxury meets comfort. I don’t like when hotels are too fancy, I like being able to kick up my feel and relax, plus it’s pretty reasonably priced. The entire hotel is beeeeautiful, exactly how you’d expect a Cabo hotel to be. Beach balconies, white sheer sheets blowing in the wind, all white furniture, lotsa sand, etc… And our room? Ssssuper cool, fully equip with an outdoor jacuzzi and shower, andddd a balcony that looked straight out to the ocean. Never wanted to leave!

I spent the weekend laying out in the sun, drinking delicious mojitos and thennnn throwing up. Yeaaah, on Saturday night I got a super bad case of food poisoning. DON’T Drink the WATER or eat anything not boiled while in Mexico. I ate tortilla soup though, so I am not sure what in that made me sick? It was no fun but on the brighter side, I fit into my old jeans now? Sad it took me physically being ill to make stop eating like a pig, but hey… I’ll take it. Even with food poisoning I still had a blast.

Soooooo yeah, Miami is exactly the same as I left it last. Superrrrr tropical, the melting pot of the South East. I really think I was the only white girl in all of South Beach which sucked for me because no one likes white girls there haha. Everyone is a mix of something exotic, with fancy names to match their fancy mixes. I felt super boring, like I needed an accent, a way bigger butt, a way tanner tan, wayyyy longer hair and a crop to fit in. Good thing I have a little bit of a butt so I kinda fit in, but the girl’s booty’s there? Dannnng. I’m def considered skinny in South Beach but not in San Diego. Crazy how opposite the styles are… Here girls think it’s best to be stick thin with big boobs, but Miami girls like to be curvy with big butts. I def. like Miami girls better ;)

NO one has boob jobs in Miami, honestly no one! Ok, maybe a few here and there, but more girls have fake butts there than boobs for sure. Yes girls actually get fake butts andddddd talk about it just like they got a boob job. The first story I heard I was shocked… I guess they get these shots that plump it up or something crazy?

Anyway, I stayed with some super pretty, nice girls and even though I wasn’t Miami enough for Miami, I still had the best time. The girls we stayed with model out there so they made sure we had fabulous plans every night. I think I met every B list rapper possible, which was cool but not cool because for every B list rapper there is in Miami, there are 8,000 hungry girls tryin to holler at them. Not safe to be around them, seriously. One night we had a table with Fabulous and I had to leave because I felt myself getting closed in on by the ugly groupies.

I’ve been all over lately and I’m loving it! Meeting so many fun people and seeing so many cool new things. The latest? The Aston Martin party held at this $32 million dollar crrraazzzzy home sitting on the cliffs in La Jolla, CA. Talk about a ballin’ house. Like Drake says, “If it ain’t got an elevator in it’s a no go.”

This place had everything, 3 floors, a panoramic ocean view, an elevator, and even it’s own private access to Black’s Beach. The entire property was covered in Aston Martin cars, so it was cool to see their latest. Ever since Rick Ross came out with Aston Martin Music, all I wanna do is be a passenger in his Aston Martin, top down, cruisin.

As you can see, this house is insane, but I’d never want to live in it, it’s wayyyy too big and scary. Not “home” like at all, but an amazing house for a party of course. The house has been on the market for years now, Aston Martin just rented it out for the night. I suppose asking $32 million isn’t working so well for them. I hear someone offered them $6 million but hey declined that. The house was cool and all, but if I was a billionaire, the most I’d ever pay for it was maybbbeee 3-5 million.

The people at the party were pretty much as insane as the house. Rude times 8,231. Everyone thought they were sooo kewl because they worked for Aston Martin, and they were all mad we were 30 years younger than them. Whatever though, we of course took advantage of the open bar, the cool cars, the yummy treats and then promptly peaced out to Belo to see Keri Hilson perform. Belo is super lame, but Keri is super fab so we took the risk. The night turned out to be pretty fun… We had a table so we all had a blast taking crazy pics, did the pretty girl rock with Keri, got to meet her after her performance and then called it a night.

She is sooo cute and we’re sooo not.

Another successful Thursday! ;) This weekend… MIAMI! Lovin life.

MAGIC was last week in Las Vegas, and for those of you not sure what that is, MAGIC is basically a convention where all the major shoe and clothing companies go to show off next season’s products to buyers. Yes, an entire convention center fullllll of Spring 2012 trends. I went for Naughty Monkey, but had time to walk around and enjoy the other booths as well. As an exhibitor, you’re not allowed to enter other competitors booths, (They worry you will copy their designs), but I was still able to see just fine from outside the booths, you can see pretty much everything, just not close enough to take pictures. A few booths even let me in all the way ;) That was of course before I learned of the no entry rule oops.

Anyway, so what trends did I discover? Well, nothing too new… like I mentioned before, shoe wise, we will continue to see chunky 70′s inspired shoes all the way into Spring 2012, and for this Fall? There will be lotsss of glitz and glam in shoes, and as always boots are where it’s at!

I saw a few celebs, no one super cool though. Brody Jenner and his rocker girlfriend Avril Lavigne were there, and of course the Simmons sisters considering they own a shoe company. We went out one night and saw Guuuucccci Mane, I love him, and Angel from Holly’s World and I think that’s about it.

I was lucky to have tons of girlfriends in town also working the show, so I got to work and play! I love Vegas, always so much fun. We stayed at Aria a few nights and then headed off to Wynn. Both amazing hotels. My friend got us a super nice Salon Suite at Wynn so we lived like Princess’ for a few nights. Lots of yummy room service, in room massages, champagne and a view of the Treasure Island pirate show each night. One night we stayed in and just enjoyed the room, had a slumber party on the couches and watched movies.

Overall… a fabulous trip, got to check out tons of cute new trends, learned that Hello Kitty now has high heels, watched the Chargers beat the Cowboys in a cabana eating nachos, and spent QT with my faves. Life is good.

The sun ruined this pic. It was sooo bright and hot there, over 100 every day.

    Places we went out at:

    * Saturday- TAO & XS

    * Sunday- Encore Beach Club day, Bank at night

    * Monday- Aria pool to relax, Marquee at night

    Enjoy the pics!
