I am a cheap-o, I never buy myself massages, I rather buy clothes… but about 2 months ago a group of friends and I decided to try out this massage place we heard about in OC that was supposedly $20 bucks for an hour long massage. I am sure you’re thinking whats the catch right? I know I was… Anyway, the place is called Greenland Medical & Rehab Center, and yes, it’s an office run by all Asians. As I walked into this place I was thinking omg whats even gonna go down right now. It was a group of like 5 girls and 1 guy. Would they try and get creepy? Ahh I hope not.

SO once you get there you’re super skeptical like I mentioned. It looks like a total doctor’s office. They call your name and all of your party goes into one giant room together. Phew we would be together and not in a scary room alone.
They start by having you sit in a giant lazy boy chair and place your feet in a bucket of hot water and some weird herbs or something. A relaxing foot bath I believe is what it is? Anyway then they serve you some kind of Asian tea. Lindsay was afraid to drink it, and at that point I kind of was too. What was in this? I didn’t want to be drugged and have my body parts for sale in a Downtown LA alley… but I drank it anyway. I lived.
They then massage you sitting up. And eventually ask you to lay down. The room is kinda ghetto but it’s nice to be with your friends, we were all kind of snickering like whattts even going on.
You get to keep your clothes on. Another phew. They kind of re-position your clothes to get to where they need to be. I suggest wearing thin, loose clothes, easier that way.
They massage your whole body for an hour and if you want to add another hour its only 10 bucks more! So $30 for TWO hours. It is actually a great massage, they don’t add any fluff, and massage the entire time. The guy said I had a super stressed out upper back and put some Chinese medicine on it to loosen it up.They work so hard and are so nice that you end up wanting to tip them an extra 20 bucks but that’s of course up to you.
