Two days ago I had what seemed to be the worst thing possible happen……… I dropped and cracked my entire I-Phone screen. Ahhhhh how materialistic I know, but my I-phone is my baby! Getting out of the car my phone was in my lap and I got out without knowing it was there. My phone went crashing down into the pavement and shattered the entire screen. When I say shatter, I mean shattttttttttttered. I couldn’t even use the phone, the glass was pricking my fingers and scratching my face.

Yep that is my actual phone. I was devastated. All I could think about was $400.00 down the drain with one baby drop. However… thanks to my amazing Facebook friends, I learned there is actually a FAST, CHEAP, EASY solution!

Several companies offer I-phone screen replacements. That means all they do is pop the old, broken glass off, and re-install a new piece of glass. Who would have guessed it could be so easy!? The best part is, it only cost $50.00! Sucks paying anything, but then again it’s soooo much better than paying for an entire new phone like most people I’m sure do. So, next time you hear of someone cracking their phone screen, hit up craigslist and find someone in your area who specializes in cracked screen repair.

My phone as good as new :)

It should be around $50-$70 dollars, and make sure it comes with a warranty. Mine came with a 3 year warranty and is as good as new. I can’t tell any difference and have had 0 problems so far. The process took about 45 minutes even though the ad stated 15 min but it was worth the wait. It really is a quick fix, the place I went was just a bit busy.

What is also cool is they can fix most other self inflicted I-phone damage. From water damage to cracking the actual LCD part of your phone, this place did it all. Luckily my damage was the cheapest form and just surface level. Some people drop their phones and cause the entire LCD screen to disable (Go black) and they repair that as well! So exciting for us clumsy peeps ;)

Anyway, like I said, check out Craigslist for “I-phone screen repair” in your area. Make sure it looks like a legit place and ask them what method they use to replace the screen. Ask if they use super glue or not, if they DO? Use someone else. You don’t want any glue on your phone.

For San Diego repairs use: A-Z Wireless
