Slouchy hats are a tricky trend I am still working on perfecting. When something is not initially your style it takes a bit of getting used to…I sported my glittery slouch hat ice skating with Erin and the same day Kim Kardashian also posted about how much she loves slouchy hats Great minds think alike. Definitely a Winter trend to try out this year.

A few tips when attempting this look…

* Leave bangs or a little hair over your forehead. I made this mistake, and learned it looked way better with bangs. (Unless you have a small forehead you’d be ok with bangs back)

* The hat is kind of empty unless you stuff a bit of hair up into it. Half up, half down worked well, or all your hair in the hat with a few wispy’s out the back or sides.

* Make sure you slouch about 1-2 inches off your head (See Kim’s pic)

* Make sure your outfit isn’t too wild. I personally would stick to solid colors.

1. Cute sequins one similar to mine!

2. Simple knitted cream, purple, grey or peach ones

3. Knitted bow hat in 3 colors
