Last weekend I went up to LA to visit two of my girl friends Kayla & Arika. We decided to hit up Wonderland, a new LA hot spot. Apparently the entire club is Alice and Wonderland theme, I couldn’t wait to see more considering growing up my ALL time fave movie was Alice and Wonderland. I would wake up on my own at 5am each day and put the movie in all by myself and watch it over and over. Needless to say, I was excited to visit this club to see its “Alice and Wonderland” theme. Some of you old school Hollywood clubbers may recognize this new club as once being Concord, which was hot about five years ago. After that it was a club called Shag.
Anyway…
First things first. DO not try going here unless you know someone. For once in my life I had a semi nervous breakdown trying to get in. The guy didn’t care who we were, probably because there were 908 other floozies trying to get in. When I go out, I never see large groups of super cute girls, but this club’s front was definitely packed with pretty cute groups of girls. Great now what… Some guy in a leather jacket grabbed my hand as if he was going to take me in with him, but I wasn’t about to abandon my brat pack. Turns out he was in some band, oh well, I am not into band guys that much anyway.
Plus, Arika’s friend had a table for his birthday, so I didn’t need him anyway ;P
Eventually the guy let us in, we had to wait maybe 3 minutes, not too bad. Once we were inside we found the table and let the fun begin. I really liked the venue, it was roomy but not too big and I really liked that part of the roof was raised, so fresh air came through the club. Nothing is worse than a hot, sweaty night club. The entire club is decorated with playing cards, pink lighting, flowers, cool paintings, just like Alice and Wonderland! I loveeeed it. We popped some Dom, had some Dom popped on us, bounced over to another friends table like good bottle rats do, and danced the night away.
The only celebrities we saw were singers Ally & Aj (Her name is Amanda Joy, close to mine!)
Overall a fun night and a great venue to check out if you know someone that can get you in!

You failed to mention that you were about 2 1/2 yrs. old when you put in that video for the first time. I remember getting up in the morning about 7am and seeing you on the couch with your “yokie” in one hand and the remote in the other hand. I asked you who put the video in and when you told me you did it yourself I didn’t believe you. Silly me.
