I loveee when girls ask me to post specific stuff, it makes my job so easy! Today I had someone ask me how to dress for her body type since she wasn’t a size 0. Well, everyone who knows me, knows I am not a size 0 or even 2. The smallest I have ever been is a 4 but normally I am a size 6. In dresses I am a 4 because my upper body is much smaller than my lower ;) But anyway, I have trouble finding things that don’t make me look like a burrito because I have such a big butt! First off…things I will NEVER EVER wear are:

  • Bubble Dresses- These dresses are awful for girls with bigger lower bodies. Its obvious you’re hiding junk in your trunk so stay away from these!

bubble dress

  • Moo moo shirts/dresses- Skinny girls can wear these and look flowy and angelic, when I wear them I just look puffy and lame. A great way to still wear loose shirts without looking like you’re hiding a baby bump is to pair it up with a belt. It creates a waist and highlights your smallest area. The key is to adding the belt at the smallest part of your body. Above belly button/waist area. And FAT huge belts are OUT. The thickest you should go is 3 inches. See how cute this top is with the belt :) flowy shirt, shirt with belt
  • I will NEVER wear a shirt with a thick elastic band at the bottom, I just hate how the entire stomach area is puffy, again looks like you are hiding something and makes you look wayyyy bigger than you are. Plus it is a V-neck which =s cleavage which =s FAT looking!what not to wear
  • Avoid jeans that cut too low. I have such a smaller waist that if jeans hit too low, the size difference is too much that tops fit funny. Make sure your jeans are high enough that your shirts lay flat :) These are tooo low for my booty and with a shirt over too low jeans, you look fat. Make sure your jeans come up high enough, no muffin top!what-jeans-go-best-with-your-body-typeNow for the things you SHOULD wear…

I love leggings!

Not only are they so comfy but they look good on most people. Leggings must always be worn with a shirt covering your butt though. Pair leggings up with any of these tops! Again if there is no tie included and the shirt is super loose, a belt is needed to create a waist, unless of course you are super skinny, then you don’t need one ;P

Cute tops to pair with leggings. Flats for a fancy day outfit, heels for a fun night outfit!

For jeans, I wear jeans with a little stretch. I actually really like these jeans and they are so ridiculously cheap! Despite thinking you have to be stick thin to wear skinny jeans, I wear them anyway! Buy the right size and anyone can pull these off. I never thought I could but I love them :) Again pair with any of the above tops.
