Being the avid gym goer that I am, I sometimes need a boost before I workout. I usually drink a lo-carb monster but the problem with those is that they make me toooo full pre workout. To solve this problem I started using 7 hour energy shots. They DEFINITELY work… I get to the gym and workout for hours. I guess it is like a gym adderall I am guessing? Never tried adderall ;P (Proud to say I made it through college without a single drug!)
I workout and time flies on 7 hour energy shots, its awesome. Anyway I came across this article today about how popular energy shots are and how much the demand for them has risen! Check out the article!
It seems this year energy drink review requests have been dwindling.
However, I’ve been getting ever increasing requests to have energy shots reviewed.
The Convenience Store News just reported that sales of energy shots have doubled in 2009, with more and more consumers choosing them over the traditional 16oz energy drink than ever before.
Energy shot sales were at 270 million in 2008, but are expected to double that in 2009 with around 700 million in sales. In 2008 energy drink sales only saw a mere .09% increase in sales from the previous year, while energy shots saw and 179% increase in sales.
So what does this mean for the industry? Have energy drinks met their match when facing their much smaller cousin? Many enjoy the convenience of these shots, but will convenience make up for the often less than pleasing flavor?
The shot still has a way to go as energy drink sales topped 3.5 billion dollars last year.
What do you think? Will energy shots replace your energy drinks as a way to get your fix?
My FAVORITE!

This shot is possibly the yummiest energy shot ever made. It almost tastes like a berry dessert! Most shots are too harsh for me and usually upset my stomach… This shot comes with no calories that is both energy boosting andddd delicious. It gives me a nice boost but nothing over the top. No jitters at 12am.
Another plus with this shot, it’s full of electrolytes. Electrolytes control electrical impulses on your cell membranes, and working out uses these up. That is why drinks like Gatorade were invented. What this means is that it has enough energy in it to keep you moving for a good 3-4 hours no problem. The caffeine count is 177mg so it is pretty serious stuff! A cup of coffee can have 50-100 mg of caffeine so careful not to over do it.
The Best Tasting Energy Shot so far
