After our wild Saturday, what could we do on Sunday? We were over drinking so we wanted to do something active that didn’t involve drinking. We decided to go to Knott’s Berry Farm! We went back and forth on the idea, it sounded fun but it also sound like hell on earth. It for sure was 100 degrees out and the idea of waiting in hot, sweaty lines with loud, hyper kids sounded awful. Lindsay lives about 10 minutes away so we all hopped in the car and headed on over thinking if it sucked too bad we would just leave. I was super worried because we were with a 14 year old who is a professional roller coaster rider, and well, my stomach can’t handle aggressssive roller coasters. I was hoping I wouldn’t be peer pressured into any ride I didn’t want to go on. Of course I was though.

We got there just in time for the after 4pm special discounted tickets. Craig busts out his black card to pay for our tickets (Love that the black card was pulled out at some crappy little theme park) You know you’re in a low budget venue when the lady selling you tickets asks what kind of card the black card is. “Such a cool card, what is that!” ehhh WHAT!?
Anyway we scratched our sober plans and decided Knott’s Berry Farm would be much more fun with booze involved so we rushed to buy giant Slurpees and mixed in a bit of vodka. We of course hid the booze in the kids race car back pack like smart adults. The slurpees were delicious but too sweet mixed, so we threw them out and maintained our goal of being sober on Sunday. Good thing we decided this because I was dizzy enough from the awful rides. I still, 24 hours later, am sick and dizzy.
We ran around, rode some rides, took some pics, got our faces painted like we were 5 and ended up only staying for only about 3 hours because I got so sick after Riley took me on a scaryyy spinning upside down ride. I was pretty much a downer the rest of the day.
As you can imagine, there were weirdos all over, fat people in wheel chairs eating everything in sight, white trash mom’s screaming they needed a “f*ckn cigarette”, etc. The girl who painted our face said most days she wears sunglasses because she is constantly rolling her eyes at people ahahah we loved her. She ended up giving us our heart face paints for free. So nice. We all were super over it and ready to leave/eat.
The girls all decided we wanted Souplantation, poor Craig hates it 3 against 1 tho
It was the worst day possible for him and now tonight he is at the Beyonce concert with wild girls singing Single Ladies all over the place I’m sure. Ooppsssie. Overall it was one of the best weekends I’ve had in a while! One big happpppppppppy family, fun day!
