So… this weekend, on of the girls from my sorority was in town so all my girlfriends decided to take her out and show her a fun time. They all live in PB, so….yeah I was stuck going there. We started off at this crazy little restaurant called Costa Brava in PB. It is crazy how many places exist that after 25 years of living here, I have never heard of. This was one place I have never even heard of, so I was excited to try it out! It is a Spanish Tapas bar so all the portions are about 7 bucks and super tiny. I had no idea how tiny they were, because when I ordered a side of veggies it came with literally 2 carrots, 2 broccolis and 4 zucchinis. I looked at it so confused and so sad it was so small :( I should have taken a picture of it.

costa brava san diego

This place is on Garnet and hidden behind tons ivy leaves. I drove passed it and didn’t even know it was there. You cant tell it is even anything, its weird walking in to a huge busy restaurant when from the street it looks like nothing. It definitely is a hidden secret place. My girlfriends were drinking pitchers of sangria, but I don’t like wine so I had champagne.

This place was kinda weird, there were a lot of rules. I am all for some rules but too many becomes annoying. They were weird about us ordering, telling us we couldn’t have bread unless we ordered, when I asked for a mimosa he was all well I can give you a side of orange juice and u can add it… like what, you couldn’t add it for me? It was almost like they were annoyed they were serving us.

They also lectured us on ordering bread and said it wasn’t a traditional Spanish dish. Whatever that means, were in San Diego not Spain give me bread nnnnow.

Minus the weirdo servers, this place was cool   be a fun place to go on a date. Its different than a normal date place, so I liked that aspect of it. Anyways on to our next destination…  Firehousefirehouse-bar-san diego

Firehouse is one of the only PB bars I like, except it is always too hot upstairs. I pretty much have a panic attacks every time because I am melting under the heaters. It is Summer, we can turn those off now. They have reallllly good food and a good happy hour. I think it is 3$ wells and 50% off apps. I loveee their buffalo lettuce wraps, mac and cheese and grilled cheese and soup. Click the pic for their site and menu!

Anyway we get to the door and they refuse to let Melissa in. They say her ID is fake. Keep in mind Melissa is my age and her ID is defff not fake. I went and got the manager because I knew him, and they finally let her in. He was kind of annoyed with me but I was kinda annoyed with them, we were all 25 and the ID looks totally like her, I mean it is her.

So we head upstairs and Meghan decides to order us all coffee martinis. I have never had them before, they were mmmm. I didn’t really want to be drinking bc I have my annual annoying cough but I drank a bit anyway. I feel bad coughing on everyone, and everyone thinks I am sneezing bc its a dry cough, so all night people bless me. I was explaining its a cough not a sneeze, until I finally gave up and just said thank you ahahah.

So I am coughing and I accidentally cough on this guy. The guy was like “don’t worry it happens” Oh and guess who it was? Annoying guy #2. I looked at him like a deer in headlights. He then proceeded to hit on all my friends in front of me which is why hes sooo annoying. I hate guys like him.

We then decide to bail and head to Barwest bc Meghan wants to dance. We go to Bweezy and dance. We were like the old cougars at the bar sweating and dancing and not caring. At one point I looked over and Jessica was covered in sweat as if she just hopped out of the shower. I then spotted stalker #1. Great. I had enough of PB and took a cab home. Overall a fun night of acting a fool, dancing and hanging out with my friends.

I will add pics of us when Melissa emails me them, my camera died :(
